For over an hour, the couple looked down at the 80-foot drop below then, watching their belongings fall to the bottom of the gorge.

@@nickicunningham9679 Thank you Nicki. I did get another furbaby and she is my angel. You see I lost my husband about a year later. I just didn't want to be on this earth anymore after that but I couldn't leave my Ginger. I'm not posting this for sympathy. My heart still hurts but I don't have those bad thoughts anymore. We were together for 36 years. When the house burned I went back in to try and find my Littlebit. I was almost overcome with smoke and somehow my husband got me out but we couldn't find her. It was nearly 2am and we were both about half naked sitting on the walkway in front of the house as the firemen tried to put it out. I saw one fireman run out and towards us with something in his arms and it was my Littlebit. He tried CPR so hard I know he wanted that dog to live but it was too late. He handed her to me and I just sat there and wailed. I held her until she lost most of her body heat then gave her to my husband who wailed about as much as I did. I remember one female fireman came over and sat beside me trying to comfort me. But loss and death are all part of life. I buried a small container of his ashes where we buried Littlebit so they could always be together.

Retired and minus a nest egg I thought I was living on the edge until this story came to light. I'd say this foursome are the literal definition of 'Living on the Edge' and maybe it's not always best to take the road less travelled. (sorry, I had to insert a little levity, I'm sure the couple here can appreciate, Levity.) The Grace of God or whatever you want to call it is the best thing we are blessed with. This couple's blessing quota has been consumed but we here can give a little of ours, so do give peeps if you can. I won't say they could use a break, as that was the one thing that worked to keep them hanging around... to see that those safety chains didn't Break, is just a miracle and honestly, mind blowing. They are tough and proud folk, you can tell that they would help a stranger if they came upon some such fellow found to be in a tough place in need of a hand up.. May they find another rig and get settled so they can go back to the comfort provided in their own shelter, modest it may be, lest you think about their lucky stars and being cradled in the hand of God, or in the Charm of their Leprechaun, Lucky!

Glad someone started a gofundme page for them. Perhaps the home on wheels alliance can help.

Wind does blow harder through valleys and canyons. Wind mostly likely revited up through the canyon and caught the trailer and truck.

Truly a miracle here! Just when you think all hope is lost, a miracle happens to restore all faith in Almighty God; and a restored faith in humanity. God will continue to bless this couple and everyone involved in their rescue. No one will ever forget the miracle that day at the gorge! 💝

I’m so very glad you guys are safe. It is horribly scary being in the moho & winds come up, while seeing big trucks go over like Tonkas.
