I have a Kitfox S7 on order due April 2021. In order to help get ready for the build, I joined my local Boise/Nampa/Caldwell EAA Chapter. Went to my first meeting in January and Steve Henry came in and sat down next to me in the back row. I was not at all familiar with him and I heard words like Highlander and Apex thrown around by him and others who were greeting him. He seemed somewhat famous, however I had no idea he is such a legend in the STOL world. His Yee Haw is truly awesome and I will be sure and say hello the next time I see him. Thanks Jonas for being a fellow Idahoeon and being such an adorable couple with Silvijia, as well as your great bush plane oriented videos.

Thank’s for another great vlog of your continued life with a great group of aviation pioneers. You’ve surrounded yourself with with great people and allowed us to come along with. We see Sylvia has become the major focus in your life with her great attitude and warm beautiful smile. Steve’s Highlander has become the benchmark in low cost, high performance bush planes that most people could own if they wanted to build & fly for themselves. The Experimental Aircraft channel has done an excellent two piece vlog on Steve’s aircraft build with the Yamaha engine. I bet if all of you pioneers got together for one week for a aircraft design think-tank, I would wager to bet your think-tank would come up with some really great ideas if not one great aircraft design. Assuming you didn’t spend the entire time drinking too much. Lol. No really I would bet some great ideas would come out of it! Scientists do this all the time!

Jonas Marcinko - just like your “One Wheeler” it’s ideas like this that you created by looking at its original design and saying; what if? Get together and say; what if we did this? It’s amazing what a group of people can dream up because the most successful designs usually were created with groups of people. Yes there have been single designers but I bet if you looked at their inspiration I bet you’ll find they got their ideas from something or someone else? The best thing about a group is the immediate feedback or idea changes that make the ideas better. Or just the how to do it syndrome. Just make sure everyone checks their egos at the door and put someone in charge of keeping the collaboration on course and don’t allow it to drift off topic. Pilots and designers have a way of doing this. Maybe even using a couple of white boards and a computer with large monitor and some modeling software to factor in the math or flow quickly to eliminate problems. You could call this team “Punk Works”? Just an idea.
