Dirk Koetter is extremely calculated. He doesn't really like QB's who are flashy that are gunslingers. He likes a guy who takes care of the ball. He told Jameis Winston the same thing in Tampa Bay. We need you to not lose the games for us. I 100% agree with Dirk. Look at the SMU game. Lets say SMU simply runs the ball all game isntead of passing the ball. Let's say they punt the ball the entire game and go 3 and out every. single. time. Not Ideal right? SMU still has a shot at the end of the game. Thats crazy to think about right? Dirk all year in his play calling has been consistent. 1st and 10. 2nd and 7. 3rd and 4. Either 1st down or 4th and short to give the team a chance depending on field position. With this type of play calling it wears defenses down and if you do get a big pop play it makes it much easier to punch in touchdowns. Boise has a 92% score rate in the redzone. One of the highest in college football.

SMU didn’t have great success running the ball and they weren’t going to shy away from the style of play that got them there. The quarterback just choked and laid an egg. I do get your point though.

@@kevinchandler179 and your Nittany Lions will meet the best running back in college football. The argument is and always will be Boise’s strength of schedule but Jeanty is special. The only way to stop him is to stack the box. Teams are literally reconfiguring their defenses to stop Jeanty. So I imagine thats what Penn state will do. We’ll see what happens on Tuesday. Good luck to your team but show BSU some respect for what they’ve accomplished as a non power 5 team. Dont sleep on BSU they might surprise you.

Dillon is 5'11" and doesnt have a big arm but is extremely accurate and doesn't make stupid mistakes. Cam ward has made a lot this season but both Cam and Shedeur have way higher ceilings as quarterbacks which is why they will be taken higher. He was just saying best college quarterback. Kellen Moore, an old Boise State quarterback is a perfect example of that

@ shedeur finished this season with the highest completion percentage and is more accurate and consistent then all of them yes cam isn’t that accurate but he’s better qb then Dillon Dillon isn’t that good he’s just on a good team

@MrTheHeadlines Definitely a great player with attributes that are better than Dillon in multiple facets, I agree! However, he does have a habit of tossing up a few more prayer balls than players like Dillon and he'll have to clean that up in the league. Granted, Colorado had some players like Travis came down with some amazing catches on those balls but that stuff doesn't fly nearly as often in the NFL. Dillon also played a much harder schedule with better secondaries and defensive fronts. I agree that Shedeur will be a fantastic NFL Qb but Shedeur wasn't without his faults. Dillon Gabriel is a fantastic player and very level headed in huge moments. Every game they needed him to get them the win, he did. Dillon is a more mature quarterback and game manager but has unfortunately far less room to grow in terms of skillset than Shedeur. Go back and look at Kellen Moore's stats(phenomenal). On paper, he should have been a 1st round draft pick if winning games and having unreal efficiency was all that mattered. Unfortunately he was too short and didn't have the arm strength required to be successful in the league.
