No, actually they didn't belong in this game and absolutely didn't deserve a first round bye. Changes needed. Conference champions should get in but not get byes when they have the worst strength of schedule among the 12. Laughable. Penn St. on the other hand got handed the easiest path to a championship and that makes zero sense. Did I mention changes needed so the best teams actually have the best opportunities to win a chip?

@@TradingPantheonNasirTrades Boise St actually has a decent passing game and a solid QB. They outgained Penn St and Maddux Madsen was actually having a heck of a game. He played smart and threw some dimes until very late with the score out of reach when he started trying too hard to be a hero. Boise could have won but they needed to have perfect execution to do it. They made too many mistakes and defense couldn’t get off the field when they had Penn backed up on 3rd and longs. They also won the time of possession. I actually think their defense played pretty good for most of the night also but they got burned by a very handful of explosive plays. That has been their kryptonite all year. Solid defensive performance that becomes completely negated by 3-4 disastrous lucky breaks given to the other teams. I don’t really think Penn state dominated them but they did have a pretty good game plan, they executed marginally better and they caught boise sleeping for few lucky explosive plays that blew the game open.
