Why do people never research stone walls? I find them insanely strong to control the map and where my opponent can get to. It also gives the biggest improvement for a skin gel upgrade.

They're way too slow. You won't get the fight you're looking for while getting raided all over. Hoplites are great when you're aggressive and pushing into their base, which is why Zeus will use them a lot more.

Hoplite don't actually have any bonus vs Cav. Only reason they 'counter' is they have higher hack armor. The issue is though that the RC probably won't be hitting your hoplite because they are running around to hit your toxotes so my thought process is, I need a speedy unit to help hit the RC while they are going for my toxotes. Also they are good path blockers.

@@BoitTV still thinks hoplite is better against norse, the combination hoplite + hades tox are just op, you can mass hoplites because they are less expensive and 2 pop, the hippikons are too expensives and u cant mass fast it, the hoplites is really versatile and can fight good against pratically all norse units, except with axemans... but u can counter axemans with toxotes, they fast kill him.

+ greeks are late game civ compared to norse who are early mid game civ, so if he's behind at this point, it will only get worse.

He resigned as soon as he saw BoIt reaching mythical age through Artemis and a Hippikon riding to his TC. The Earthquake there ends it all. He knows he'll be too behind in tempo to do anything realistic, so he just resigns.

Why you choose Athena always on Hades? Why's she better than Ares? :) Bcz godpower?

Ares is an early game cheese god, giving access to early siege units (cyclops) and a power to stop opponent's unit production for a time and end the game quickly Athena gives one of the most powerful classical age god power and a decent myth unit and is a strong god all the way to the late game. Hades bonuses are also more suited to late game so better pick Athena

All the Norse classic GPs are super underhwelming imo. Many GPs basically allow you to turn a fight around or dictate the pace of the game, and the 3 Norse GPs do very little of that. I guess undermine as a classical siege GP is just akward to balance.

Norse player resigned because BoIt reached the mythic age with minor god Artemis. That gives him access to the earthquake god power at the same moment that his Achilles hero reached the Norse town centre to use the power there. The norse were holding him off fairly well until then, but that god power would completely wreck them, even if they survived they would be way behind. Saved a slow death and gg'd out like a good sport
