@GraffitiTurtle Probably because early on, she's presented as some kind of control group for morality in the show. Like she's the only normal person in a sea of dysfunctional characters. As the show goes on, people realize that they're all equally dysfunctional except for BoJack who's swimming in the deep end. But they still remember Diane as the "normal" one and expect better from her.

so many mainstream TV shows have the idea of family \friends as being the most important thing. Each episode is a problem happens, but your family,\ friends help you out , and everything is fixed at the end of the episode. Bojack Horseman is a show that says family is often a shithole, and you are better off without them. In this way, it's much more realistic to real life

It’s really not. It’s more about breaking the cycle of abuse and truma that was inflicted genration by genration but that dont mean u are incapable of having a family for ur self or family is not exactly what ur former statement was , and we understand that looking at todd during some of the last few epidode, hollyhocks family, princess caroline when she had a family of her own, diane etc.

It's not you, I have good headphones and half of what they say is way too quiet at full volume. The intro though plays WAY TOO LOUD. Their sound editing has always been awful, they don't seem to care.

I think the idea the you owe family anything JUST because they're family is wrong. Like if you have a good connection and like each other despite your differences that's cool and good. Her family clearly did not like or appreciate her in anyway this episode.

There is a really big difference in the sound volume between the guys talking and what they are watching. To hear Bojack I need the sound at full volume then the guys scream and its pain in my little ears
