Sure his highlights are good looking, but overall it's just not there. Lost who he was supposed to guard on transition, which gave up open three, loses base line cutters all the time.. He's just not all that great. Potential... Sure... But every nba bench player has potential...

Aside from the obvious mental/motor differences, Wembanyama is a lot bigger than even these other 7 footers mentioned. Wembanyama is several inches taller than Bol Bol and Chet, and has a 4-5" larger wingspan. It's the equivalent of comparing LeBron to Kevin Durant in terms of height and wingspan when there's a clear difference. The physical differences a lone play a huge role in why Bol Bol could never be close to what Wembanyama's ceiling is. Ish is really just doing a disservice in recognizing Wembanyama's physical gifts with this take.

Wow... the difference marketing and opportunity makes. I dont believe Bol Bol and Wemby are THAT far apart / different talent wise. Wemby will get all the marketing and opportunity, and Bol seems to have to scrap for his crumbs of opportunity. When the Magic had injuries last year and they were forced to give Bol minutes, as the 5th scoring option he still led the team in every single advanced stat metric during that stretch. He did this with multiple ballhogging teammates that would consistently look him off to get their own buckets (Suggs, Wagner, and others). If Bol gets an opportunity on the Suns to be the focal point of the bench scoring, we will see his real potential
