Its been on a downslide ever since. When you watch the really early episodes you realise what a great show this used to be. Back then the writing was top notch, the storylines were really riveting. Susan Flannery was to me always the main asset they had. I was so sad when Stephanie died. Its become very boring and repetitive. I rarely watch it nowadays.

So if Steffy apologized for the Aspen wedding, Hope forgave her, and had her own gondola experience in Italy which included her falling in the water. Why was it brought up in 2019 and why did Hope use it to justify her own actions? Just doesn't make any sense.

I think she feels that is her strongest excuse for acting as obnoxious as she does. Never mind the fact that she was obnoxious even before the gondola incident. Actually, Hope makes no sense in general. She is ridiculous in her reasoning. To me, Hope is way more fixated on Steffy than she actually is on Liam. These writers need to end this business of Steffy repeatedly apologizing to Hopeless. Steffy doesn't owe Hopeless a darned thing. Especially, since it is now Hopeless who keeps inserting herself into Liam and Steffy's relationship.

Because it was a very painful experience, and it highlights how Steffy has always manipulated where Hope and Liam were concerned. ETA: I just rewatched it and Hope never said she forgave Steffy for the Aspen wedding. She was referring to Steffy and Liam kissing. That Aspen wedding was a big turning point, no wonder Hope had bad feelings about it. It's HOPE that doesn't owe Steffy anything.

And the cliff kiss doesn't count because Liam wasn't engaged or married to Hope (2020, I think). and when we saw Hope more than once kissed or slept with Liam when he was living with Steffy, married or engaged to her. i don't approve of what Steffy did to Hope in italy, but she should be patronizing and haughty with Liam. because it is he who once again comes to Steffy. she says it herself

Thank you! It's exactly what I think. Besides, Liam goes between these two women for years, cheats and lies and expects them to forgive him. Steffy sleeps with Bill ONCE because she was vulnerable to the fact that Liam had shown yet another women affection like he had done many times and thought her relationship with him was over. Big Hope fans don't like to find any compassion for Steffy and why she makes her mistakes, but finds all the justification under the sun for Hopes mistakes.
