Smooth talker Ridge. Ridge is still the same as in episode 10, when Alex mentioned his upcoming wedding and Ridge told Alex that he "loves his fiance Caroline just as much as he has loved any other woman in his life" - and then bedded Alex in that same episode. Women seem to be quite interchangeable (like sweater?) when they are out of his sight. If these women could just hear how he was talking about them behind their backs. Although I guess it wouldn't really matter. Caroline took him back even when she had proof that he has cheated on her several times. Brooke still wanted him even when he made her think he had betrayed her (set her up to find him in bed with someone else to make her reunite with his dad).

Show/point out the episode that Ridge cheated on her several times when they were in a relationship….other than Alex Simpson; the essence of this story was just that…ridge loved himself & all women, but he GREW TO LOVE ONLY 1 woman more than others, Caroline! He says this repeatedly to his mom, Thorne and even Rocco, after the Alex fiasco he told realizes that Caroline is not just some woman but one he FELL in love with. Please watch the progression & build up of the CRIDGE romance and storyline. Caroline took an intentional break from Ridge as he was relentlessly pursuing her for intimacy and pushing her moral boundaries…the CRIDGE love story is really about a naive sheltered and idealistic Caroline growing up in a world where she experienced trauma of rape/ verdict and backstabbing duo Brooke/ Thorne, and slowly realizing her naïveté… she discusses this later on as she grows stronger and stronger into an independent woman and thinker, and realizing that womanizer that Ridge is, clearly loved Caroline MORE THan any other woman he was with that included Alex, brooke and Margot! If viewers cannot this this basic fact the nuances of the writer/ directors is lost on them and they are missing the evolution of the characters of CRIDGE. Other than this early on comment with Alex about Caroline, Ridge has been consistent about his love for Caroline as he realizes it himself only after the Alex fiasco. Why do you think writers showed us that episode where Rocco tells Caroline that his boss was in love and pain over Caroline, even when they showed him sleeping around with different woman when Caroline took a break from his relentlessly pushing the intimacy boundaries with her ( remember the bedroom scene in her apartment where he lied next to her in his underwear, pretending that something happened?). After Alex comment that you mentioned, he has been consistent about his love for Caroline to everyone ( behind her back as you say)… he told Brooke, Stephenie, Kristen, Rocco, Thorne, bill every one,…he never made this “ sweater like” crass comment about his true LOVE Caroline after Alex incident bcos that is the day he truly it him: that he was IN LOVE with Caroline… in fact please watch that epiphany he had and that POIGNANT realization of his TRUE LOVe for Caroline which he admits to THORNE…a womanizer finally realizing that he has come to love 1 woman. If you watched every show you cannot have missed this crucial episode and this fact is reinforced to people that knows him well ( Stephanie/ Rocco and Thorne), that is why I have never liked Thorne…he like BROOKE took what was not theirs to take surreptitiously and deceptively! That is why they get their comeuppance and CRIDGE is the endgame / Married with the 2 lying duo brooke and Thorne crying by the sidelines ( KARMA)! Too bad Johanna J left the show!!

That's the irony. We have adult Ridge acting as if Eric divorcing his mother would mean that Eric is walking out on his kids for good - even when they are adults and he would still be in their life, they still would see each other constantly at the company (and Felicia and Kristen (until last year) have been away for years and have not come even home for holidays). Then we have 18 year old Donna, who doesn't care that her dead beat father has abandoned her siblings and her mother for almost 8! years and let them struggle through life on their own, if he just comes home to them.
