I feel as though in their younger days Stephanie fell head over heels for Eric because of his looks and because he’s an artist, and was different from the guys she was used to being around. I believe Stephanie put Eric in the same situation that Margo intended to put Clarke in, except she succeeded in marrying him because during that time when a guy got a woman pregnant he took responsibility and married her.

Yes, and No. When Stephanie lied to the family that (fake) Angela had just died, she definitely had a tear running down her face - so yes, Ridge at that time saw her fake crying in front of them (when just before that in the same episode she had argued with Eric how to deal with Todds and fake Angela's blackmail threat, what to tell the kids about fake Angela) BUT Stephanie then still was very composed: - telling her children that this kinda had been expected and that it was a miracle that Angela had been with them for so long - told her kids that Angela already had been cremated and that Eric and Stephanie had decided for that because they didn't want the press to learn about Angela, now that she was gone Stephanie then hadn't really been crying much (and Eric hadn't cried at all), while the Forrester siblings kinda had been shocked that they didn't get to say goodbye/ get to bury their sister.

I think ridge’s advice to Stephanie for her to be emotional to Eric to essentially win him over is extremely dumb. You don’t cheat on someone twice and gaslight then a bunch because you don’t think they value your marriage enough to be discomforted enough if the marriage it ended. If only Stephanie wasn’t so emotionally vulnerable she wouldn’t have been convinced that she’s a problem. What women in their right mind…… would stay married to a man for 30 years, have 5 more kids after their first one when they didn’t love them?

The writers took advantage of Susan Flannery acting performance because the character Stephanie is too hard, so hard it took Day Time Emmy's years to awarded Susan Flannery a Day Time Emmy's Award, but viewers looked into her personal life to learn that Susan Flannery never married a man in her life, and she adopted a little girl; meanwhile, the show must go on, and therefore, Ridge should of pull Caroline in the pool because, we love to see marriage couples have fun.
