Yes, Stephanie is stuck with Brooke. The children will always be a connection that Stephanie can't cut anymore. That's why I also felt that it had been a bad move when Stephanie had tried to cut Brooke out of that "family" Christmas party.The year before, Stephanie had been the one who had pleaded to be invited to BERIC's Christmas party at the apartment. Eric has children with both (ex-)wives and with a new woman in his life (Sheila), it shouldn't turn it into a competition where and with whom Eric will spend Christmas time. And as Stephanie's grandson Thomas decades later will warn Quinn - the Forrester men rally behind Brooke, when they worry about Brooke and feel pity for her. There would have been less drama for everyone, if Brooke had just been another guest at that party, treated as a family member but still Brooke having to accept that both Forrester men have moved on and have new partners.

Brooke did not get pregnant by herself. Everyone forgets that her and Ridge were planning a life together before he ran off and proposed to Taylor. She was hurt and blindsided, and rightfully so. Ridge was in love with her and then suddenly broke her heart and left her picking up the pieces and pregnant. And everyone just expects her to move on and get over it. Ridge did her dirty when he decided to end their relationship out of the blue and marry Taylor.

That was short lived. Brooke's the one that dumped him when he said he wasn't ready for marriage with anyone. He asked her to keep on as they had been but she refused to settle for that.

That Brooke was fantasizing about Ridge while getting ready to Eric is 100% on her. Brooke was married to Eric, she knew he worshipped and adored her. Stephanie's fraudulent letter made zero sense, Brooke knew how much Eric loved her. That he wanted Stephanie over her, NOT a chance! In hindsight the early years of Brooke and Ridge were stolen moments due to her manipulations and lies. Ridge wanted Caroline back! Ridge only slept with Brooke to keep him away from Caroline. The bond he and Brooke shared as parents' of Bridget, based on a lie.

For Brooke to go up to Big Bear in her condition is just so _incredibly reckless_ She could be jeopardizing her baby's life as well as her own. And for what? So she could feel sorry for herself? So she could make Ridge feel guilty? And why did she call Ridge if she really wanted privacy? She must have known that he'd look for her given the things she said and that he'd figure out where he was. And she _picked up the phone_ when he called just to say "I want to be alone"... That's like telling him to come over. This is selfish beyond belief. She has an unborn child and a toddler and her greatest responsibility is to make sure they don't come to harm. They both depend on her. And yet all that matters to her is her obsession with Ridge.

Lovely scene between Stephanie and Taylor that signals their new mother-daughter relationship and gives the show a beautiful memory that will be replayed for years to come. The fact that Taylor still grieves the loss of her mother makes her bond with Stephanie even more poignant. In the Taylor vs Brooke scorekeeping, Taylor being close to Stephanie is almost as important as Taylor being married to Ridge, because Brooke has always wanted this kind of relationship with the Forrester matriarch and her acceptance in the family.
