*SHEILA'S PUZZLE SCHEME* The puzzle scheme is such a good way to create tension and drama. If you think about it, it doesn’t really further Sheila’s blackmail scheme to send this puzzle to Lauren piece by piece. She could just send her the picture whole or even show it to her when she reveals herself to Lauren. The leverage is the same regardless. But sending pieces one by one prolongs the climax of the reveal and makes the storyline more suspenseful and tense. It’s a great example of Sheila’s ability to drive the plot and be a Storyteller like Stephanie. It’s even similar to something Stephanie did before: just as Stephanie’s surveillance produced that video of Brooke & Ridge making love in the lab so too it was Sheila’s snooping that produced the photos (and the puzzle) of Lauren & Brad making love. Both women are like artists, creating a piece of visual media with the image of two other characters they need to take control of the plot.

B&B screwing with its own writing/filming/ timeline: - Brooke in today's episode sets the likely night of conception and the date BERIC had sex as March 31/April 1 Which puts it into the middle of the SL with Eric's blindness and screws with the flashback of that night, that had a seeing Eric helping Brooke into her bed and out of her dress. ep- 1256: Clark looks at his calendar on the desk, that shows March and counts that it will take 3 more months until June 25, the anniversary of is marriage and the day he will become the owner of half of Spectra - in the meantime Stephanie at the hospital learns that blind Eric plans to move back into the condo and that Brooke wants to care for Eric ep- 1259 - Stephanie came to the condo to invite a blind Eric to her charity costume party on April the 10th ep.- 1266 - The costume party, when Eric pretended to just have gotten his eyesight back (when Sally had realized that he could see)

For fans that watch B&B and Y&R, there has been a similar screw-up as the one you mentioned. B&B's Hope Logan's older half-brother little Eric/little D. Sharpe (born in 1999) in 2010 suddenly had been turned into technically being the younger sibling. That 10 year old boy had his SL on Y&R looking for a parent to take care of him, while his SORASed sister on B&B graduated high school, worked at FC and had her love drama.
