*WATCHING RIDGE & TAYLOR* Stephanie & Eric looking at Taylor & Ridge at the pool is a neat callback to Brooke spying on them in the same spot at the Christmas party. Only for Brooke the scene of their love was heartbreaking, for Stephanie & Eric, it's comforting and possibly inspiring. We've had several scenes now of other characters being spectators to Ridge & Taylor's love and lovemaking (Brooke spying on them kissing through the window, the mailman spying on them in bed through the window) so this must be intentional on the writers' part. It feels like a meta commentary on the experience of watching them as a viewer. At this point in the show's history, Ridge & Taylor are being portrayed as the aspirational couple -- the one to be viewed and vicariously lived through.

Yes, I think it would be good if Taylor and Ridge would get to spend time with Bridget alone, but honestly, I doubt that Taylor is yet even ready to face her husband with that baby girl even if Brooke is not in the room. Taylor has referred to that baby as "ammunition" and that it had brought Brooke back into their life, that because of that baby Brooke would be a permanent factor in their life. It think, it would be good for Taylor to bond and to show Ridge that their marriage is strong and that his daughter still can be a part of their life too - but at the moment I think Taylor still kinda resents that girl (had cried because of the name, that Taylor had not given Ridge his first child) and she is afraid/insecure.
