*CONNOR THE ALMOST STORYTELLER* Connor predicting exactly what's going to happen with the takeover from 7:45 - 8:10 once again makes him a reliable narrator. As a student/devotee of Bill Bell's work, I must emphasize again that he does not do this with every character! The fact that Connor predicted that Ridge would choose Taylor, perceived that the Forresters were up to something, figured out what it was, and is now foretelling what Brooke will do and will help shape that outcome (thus attempting to control the patent and the plot) makes him a character who can easily become a Storyteller. Only Stephanie and Sheila are like that and the fact that Connor possessed those traits early on tells me Bill Bell meant for him to be a more significant character than he turned out to be. I fully believe if Bill Bell had stayed on longer as Head Writer of B&B, Connor & Brooke would've gotten married for a while and been a major duo on the show for a while. It makes sense too because B&B lacks a compelling active male character (like Victor Newman or Jack Abbott on Y&R) and Connor Davis fits that bill. But as with so many things, Brad Bell couldn't see that vision and frittered away the potential.

Remember when Eric premiered Belief to the press at the fashion show, and he made a very big deal of spotlighting Brooke? I think the show ended up overusing alcoholism as a plot device. This was the first time (and the best IMO) but Taylor and especially Brooke did *not* need to become alcoholics. The way Brooke's drinking problem has been written on the show is a joke.
