Or when he got a hug from her only by pretending his cat died. Or when he ignored her turning him down eleven times in 90 seconds and just kept pushing himself onto her... It's obviously all Macy's fault for being so irresistible that poor innocent Anthony simply can't help himself. 🙄🤦‍♀️

But... *spoiler* ...a year from now she will get the chance to make that choice all over again - whether or not to lose Macy because of Anthony. And this time she will make the _right_ choice. And then both Sally and Macy will have learned that no man must be allowed to break the bond between mother and daughter.

I was glad Clarke got his at the end, but that was less because of Sally so much as the other women he lied to. The dialogue between Macy and Anthony makes it sound like they _haven't_ actually made love yet. There were a few occasions earlier when they were together and it was implied that it might have happened, but we never saw it happen and it was never spelled out, leaving room for interpretation. (And long term it makes for *much* better storytelling if they haven't.) And 2:44, 9:15 and 13:44 there's their theme music again, _three_ times in the same episode!I have commented on it before because its innocent and wistful mood really goes _against_ the actual nature of the relationship. But in a way, that music cue supports the hypothesis that they haven't yet made love because it sounds like "unfulfilled longing".
