Brooke keeps acting as if she had no way of knowing how Macy would react, and no way of preventing it, when in fact Brooke has _knowingly_ pushed Macy past her breaking point over and over again during this storyline. Thorne telling Brooke (the day of the steam room incident) about Macy almost falling off the wagon, and saying how finding out about their feelings for each other would kiII Macy, and then minutes later Brooke told Macy that Thorne was only staying with her because of her alcoholism. Then, the next day as Macy showed up drunk in Brooke's office, Brooke told her that Thorne was ending their marriage before Thorne had a chance to speak to Macy himself - even though she knew what a vulnerable state Macy was in. Brooke worrying that Macy was "desperate" and telling Thorne that he shouldn't be with her alone in the cabin because there was no telling what Macy might do, and then Brooke going up to Big Bear herself and delivering the divorce papers to her, and acting all surprised that Macy was upset about this. A heartbroken and vulnerable Macy asking Brooke to leave the cabin, with Brooke knowing she had already won and seeing the state of mind Macy was in, and Brooke still deciding to choose that very moment to ask Macy to sign the divorce papers. Brooke terrified in the car mumbling to herself that Macy was "in sane", and yet going on to tell Macy how Brooke and Thorne would be together and there was nothing Macy could do to stop them, reminding Macy of the very thing that was driving her out of her mind in the first place. On all these occasions, Brooke _knew_ what she was dealing with in Macy. She _knew_ how Macy would react because Brooke had either been _told_ how Macy would react, _reflected_ on it beforehand, and/or _seen_ Macy's (obvious) emotional distress first hand. Brooke's treatment of Macy in all these situations can't be viewed as merely a thoughtless "I didn't mean for this to happen" - it was intentionally and deliberately crueI, and Macy's reactions were completely predictable.

If she didn't overhear a convo between Ridge and Eric, she would not have felt like she had anything to feel insecure about. And BTW. Macy had given up Thorne the night Brooke thought it necessary to hand in those divorce papers RIGHT AWAY. Brooke literally needled this woman, knowing she was not in the best mental state.. And as a woman who literally went crazy and ran off to Barbados when she found out Eric was really Bridgit's father, she should have some more compassion for another woman. But, what am I saying about Brooke and compassion? She's never had any

​@@MT-sw8rf You don't seem to understand why alcoholism is called a "disease". Thorne and Brooke led Macy to relapse. She was obviously in denial and ashamed to admit it. In Macy's defence, she was absolutely on point about Thorne and Brooke, but Thorne's reassurances made her feel she was going crazy. There was not a single time Brooke stayed away from Thorne to give his marriage a chance. Brooke is outright lying. And as much as she blames Eric, Ridge and Taylor, the fact is that she did kiss Ridge willingly. And no, she wasn't in any vulnerable state to be "confused" as she defends it. Atleast Thorne tried to help Macy, but Brooke has been outright selfish and cruel. She can cry those crocodile tears all she wants but the viewers have seen exactly how this all unfolded.

Macy would have been strong enough to deal with Brooke alone, if it was just Brooke throwing herself at Thorne. Macy started drinking because she doubted herself. Macy suspected Thorne had feelings for Brooke, but Thorne kept lying to Macy about it. Macy wanted to trust her husband which caused her internal distress, and not trusting herself. Which led her to drink. Macy deserved do much better. Brooke is still selfish and senseless. If she hadn't jumped in the car the accident wouldn't have happened.

I don't think anyone is justifying _actual_ attempted unalivement of actual real live people. Luckily, in fiction it's okay to root for these things without having to worry about the moral implications. From Kimberly's point of view, she is avenging her sister's death, which is a _very_ common trope in fiction. And this is one of those things that most people would be more likely to sympathize with in a made up story than we would be in real life, because although her actions are extreme, her emotions are relatable.

The algo got my comment yesterday, but I said it would have been really fun to have Brooke be unalived, and do an “Unaliving on the Orient Express” storyline. We would see flashbacks and bits and pieces of that night, but it takes months to solve because there are so many suspects with motive to unalive her. Eventually, the culprit is revealed in dramatic fashion at a gathering in the Forrester living room. But everyone gathered agrees to hide the truth and protect the unaliver, because Brooke had it coming.

When she’s revealed to be alive she finds out someone was arrested for offing Brooke and it’s then when she reveals it was actually her and now has to decide if she’s gonna come clean or not.

Of course Macy wanted to kill Brooke, why else would she drive the car like this with Brooke in it? She didn't step back when she noticed that the marriage with Thorne did her no good & started drinking again. Why? Why running after someone who clearly doesn't know what he wants? Where's the self-respect? How many times did she have to marry / get back together and divorce/split up with Thorne to realise - it won't work?? Macy got in the car to warn Thorne. That was her main objective while driving, she didn't even want Brooke to be in the car. It was only for the last 25 seconds that she (possibly) had the idea to cause an accident. Then afterwards she actively _saved_ Brooke's life, so she did take responsibility for those 25 seconds of insanity. When Macy noticed the marriage did her no good and she had started drinking, she _did_ step back, agreed to the divorce, and moved on with her life. That was the whole point of that final dinner with her and Thorne. Macy didn't run after Thorne. He ran after her. He proposed to her in Amsterdam and she said no at first. He had to convince her to marry him.

I agree Macy was responsible for driving recklessly. But she wasn't wrong for fighting for her marriage, leading up to her drinking. That's on Thorne. He told Macy everything was OK, so of course Macy viewed Brooke as the bad guy, and she continued to believe in her marriage. Her disease was triggered as Macy couldn't reconcile what her husband was telling her vs what her instincts were screaming.
