And she is his dead wife's grieving teenage sister. This guy makes _no sense at all._ When he's with Brooke, it's as if he has forgotten all about his late wife. When he's with Kimberly, he remembers but seems to be transforming those feelings into affection for her little sister, basically treating Kimberly as a substitute for Macy (and inviting her to do the same with him).

For Clarke to all of a sudden be so angry at Ridge and Taylor is so random and makes no sense. Putting him in the middle of the storyline feels so forced.
@TriniT217 ай бұрын
Yes! You said exactly what I was thinking. I know Morgan needs someone to spill the beans with as an accomplice (like Sheila with Mike), but I kept wondering why Clarke is more mad at the Forresters than Sally is. I can understand he doesn't like Ridge.. He and Ridge never got along since the days of Kristin. But his anger towards Taylor esp is baffling... Other than when he went to her for psych help many years ago, has he ever had any kind of conversation with Taylor at all?
@deesee36227 ай бұрын
agree, so strange but they need to find some way to include him in the storyline; its a lame motive though considering there was absolutely nothing that Taylor could have done for Macy or Thorne. How is this karma for Taylor??? Sometimes the writing for the Clarke character is strange
@annieo65277 ай бұрын
@@deesee3622 but there was something Taylor could have done for Macy. Clarke went to her desperately asking for her help on the day Macy died. If Macy had seen Taylor that day, Taylor as a psychiatrist would have seen how close to a breakdown Macy was and could have insisted on getting her the urgent professional help she needed. Taylor might have been able to change the course of events that day. At least it's enough of a possibility for Clarke's feelings to be understandable. Taylor - a psychiatrist - basically told Clarke that she would not help Macy, and later that day, Macy died because of her mentaI/emotional state.

Dead Macy continues to influence the storylines from beyond the grave (like I wrote in episode 3350, she is becoming a "posthumous character" with the capacity for plot control). The other day, CJ made it clear that Thorne and Brooke are a factor in his desire to keep Little Eric away from the Forresters. And today, Thorne and Kimberly are getting closer because of Macy, and Clarke gets deeper involved in Morgan's deception because he is upset with Taylor for not helping Macy.
@NewYorkNick06077 ай бұрын
And Dead Macy is even tangentially influencing the Stephanie vs Morgan battle for plot control by provoking Stephanie into being an active character again. Not that Stephanie needs any motivation to get involved in a Tridge marriage but she clearly regrets not doing more to prevent Macy’s tragedy and she’s determined not to be passive again.
@annieo65277 ай бұрын
@@NewYorkNick0607 Great point! Yes, Stephanie has repeatedly expressed regret at not having been an active pIayer in the Macy/Thorne/Brooke storyline, and saying that she could have saved Macy (which is probably true). So now this translates into Stephanie feeling even more protective of her remaining daughter-in-law than usual, and being determined to take action and not allow yet another "other woman" to destroy another son's marriage. However, what is a little disappointing is how after that great cIimactic scene at the funeral, Stephanie _once again_ exited the storyline. Instead of trying to save Thorne from Brooke, she promptly disowned him and moved on to worrying about her number one son. If she had been this chilI about it a year ago she might not have had that stroke in the first place. In fact, Brooke and Thorne are now completely islanded. The connections between the different storylines that we so enjoyed in the beginning of S13 are starting to break down again. Another example - Brooke and Morgan have stopped interacting. Morgan's role as a designer, and the professional tension between Eric, Ridge, Brooke and Morgan, have disappeared. Morgan now exists _only_ in her own storyline, as does Brooke.
