If you con Brooke, she might use the company to hurt you (eg. punished Eric by introducing a line for men, hired a designer with a total different vision than classic couture), but you can try to kill her, be rude or be late with assignements.... as long as your work results are still exceptionally well in the end. 😅But no wonder that no one is really afraid to get fired. spoiler spoiler -Morgan can even trick Ridge into impregnating her and try to kill a rival designer, but when Morgan threatens to sue them for breach of contract, Morgan is allowed back at work after having been fired (but I forgot if Brooke ever has been told about that or if Stephanie/Ridge/Eric/ Taylor continued the -_-keep it a secret-_- )-

​@@mara4450Eric, nor Stephanie, trusted Brooke for very good reasons. I'm not an Eric fan, however, Brooke thinking he should trust her and consider her family was insanity. Eric, Brooke & their son were a very happy family and she threw it all away. Not only did she have an affair with his son, she relegated Eric to persona non grata, while elevating Ridge to man of the "condo." It was so important for Ridge to be a father to Bridget, yet Rick nor Eric mattered.

The light falling on Brooke right after she asks for "one last kiss" is such an _obvious_ attempt to quickly wrap up the Thorne/Brooke storyline by bringing them together. This storyline has been going nowhere for a while now, and pretty much all the excitement is gone from the pairing now that they don't have anyone left to unalive (since Stephanie has apparently stopped caring).

So despite Morgan begging ridge repeatedly to be father her child, her manipulating a fake email from his wife giving Consent to get her pregnant the natural way, and then lying to his face constantly about telling Clarke, ridge STILL doesn’t think Morgan is a threat to his marriage? It must be so hard for Steph to know her sons are real idiots. I don’t get why wouldn’t they tell Eric what Morgan did, that way it’s not another “baseless accusation” Steph made without any proof. Not that he would have been any help but at least they would all be on the same page.

A crazy like Morgan putting herself right into your marriage and life - or your spouse letting himself be tricked so cruelly and he then still allows that crazy to be your best friend, is still willing to let the wife become the godmother to his secret child, still defends the crazy after she has lied to him _again_ , that if she now has tried to murder someone he and his mother are partly responsible because they have insisted that she wouldn't tell anyone .... . Deacon comes to Brooke and tells her that he is going to ask Bridget for a divorce. That is what Brooke asked Deacon to do. She begged and pleaded with him to let Bridget go because the love of his life was Amber. (Also, as part of Brooke’s pleading, she tells Deacon that Ridge is the love of her life and Thorne overhears that). What follows at a later time is the scenario where a defeated Brooke is grateful to Deacon and Deacon is able to seduce Brooke. That is how it came about that Brooke slept with Bridget’s husband. Definitely very messed up and shocking to say the least.😠 It wasn’t played out that Brooke seduced Deacon. There was this supposed “chemical attraction” at the time…😳 What can I say other than this is soap land at its worst! 🤷‍♀️

Deacon shows up saying he would do as she asked and divorce Bridget. So that was the context in which Deacon makes his move on Brooke. She does not turn him down as she should have. That is mistake number one. Mistake number two is Deacon later backs out of divorcing Bridget(she doesn’t want to let him go because she loves him). 😖

Not condoning what Brooke did… just setting the stage on how it happened at the time on screen.🤷‍♀️ At the time, Deacon didn’t love Bridget and was using her to get back at the Forresters. Brooke knew this and was trying to save Bridget from her situation. (But then Deacon backs down on divorcing Bridget).😖 Regardless sleeping with the enemy was a big no no for Brooke. 😠
