I agree that’s why when I saw a couple of people talking about how Kristen and Felicia should have been with Stephanie at Big Bear in 2012 when she died instead of Brooke I never agreed with that, I like them both and even though Stephanie and Brooke had one hell of a rivalry Brooke had more of a true bond with Stephanie than her own daughters did.

Oh, sod off, Kristen. You don’t get to be that sanctimonious after adopting just one (very sweet) kid from Africa. Luckily, Stephanie totally ignored her and just carried on. Ok. I know B&B isn’t in the real world like ever, but even back then, the hospital would have required sign off from Amber’s next of kin to do the surgery in the first place, and they would have had to explicitly acknowledge the risk of fetal death. This is so silly.

I am still trying to figure out why they didn't deliver the baby if they realized he or she wasn't getting enough oxygen. Shouldn't they be monitoring the baby as well as the mother? Amber has been pregnant for a long soap time. Surely her child would have been viabIe by now? Or was the baby already dead when Amber got into surgery?

I can't believe it took being in hospital for Amber to look less pale. It's like the doctors gave her a spray tan when all else failed. Anyway it's probably because she's laying down until the next episode.

Maybe I missed something, but I don't quite understand what happened. Couldn't they have delivered the baby by C section? Surely, Amber was far along that the baby would have had a chance to survive. Wouldn't they have monitored the baby during surgery and done an emergency delivery if needed?

We had Bridget talking about another baby that had been born at 26 weeks and was doing okay, so maybe Amber was so far along. But the doctor's first had misdiagnosed the cause of Amber's symptoms and had thought it was a kidney stone, when they then quickly had to deal with a ruptured *artery*, to save the kidney. We would need a surgeon here to comment on that SL and an emergency C-section while doing an emergency operation on an artery. Would the heavy bleeding make it difficult to do the C-section?

@@mara4450 but they must have done a C-section anyway, or how else did they get the baby out of there? Maybe they couldn't do both at once and had to choose whether to save Amber or the baby first. I just wish this would have been clarified somehow. Instead they said something like "we had to focus on saving Amber because that was the only way of saving the baby" when they actually _could_ have saved the baby before Amber.

But I guess they had to deal with the blood loss and the loss of blood pressure first (organs do not get enough oxygen, risk of organ failure, shock). And yes, at the same time they might have needed to do the C-section, because the baby also would not have gotten enough oxygen. Maybe I have to rewatch The Good Doctor. 😏On that show they might have had enough surgeons to do both. Or they just as well might have had to make a decision which one they can save, mother or baby.

2 recasts that should never have happened Ridge Taylor If they couldn’t get the original actors they should have been unalived like Stephanie. When an actor plays the same part over 20 years it is too much to ask the viewer to accept someone new in the role. Thorsten Kaye has been playing Ridge over 10 years and I still haven’t accepted him The new Taylor is d y I n g of heart disease and I don’t care .I would have only been upset if they were unaliving Hunters Taylor,but would have accepted it instead of a recast .Imo Taylor should have d I e d off screen since Hunter Tylo didn’t want to come back.

The frequent recasts are not even among the top 10 problems the show has nowadays. What the show does nowadays is bring in a new actor (either as a new character or a recast), then give them no storyline, then write them off again. _That_ is a problem.

The second Taylor wasn't a bad recast, she was very "Taylor like", I doubt they will really unalive the 3rd Taylor so soon. Something else is probably going on.

Amber's designs are fun and vibrant but they are not Forrester. People liked that stuff back in the 90s.
