Brooke and ridges random conversation about Steph never getting pregnant with one man’s child and passing it off as someone else’s and Brooke pointing out she would be upset to be taken off her pedestal further proves that the whole point of this storyline is to knock Steph down to her level. Just last episode ridge had the nerve to tell his mother that Brooke is a saint compared to her but that’s far from the truth. Her not telling ridge about his paternity for a year is no where near as damaging as Brooke’s track record of targeting married men, especially her daughter. To make it worst Bridget has a constant reminder of what they did and I guess Brooke saying she’s not perfect is supposed to make us sympathize more with her then Steph?

This is exactly it. The show is clearly trying to draw a parallel between what Stephanie did and what Brooke did. This entire retcon makes no sense and undermines the entire show, and it's all so that Stephanie will lose the ability to judge Brooke, and so that Ridge will forgive Brooke for doing the unforgivable.

Stephenie has done just horrible thing's like having Massimo paying Brooke's father off to keep away from Ridge then paying a guy to stalk to Brooke that eventually him to rape Brooke and then paying her grandson Thomas to lie that he slept with Brooke so Stephenie is no saint

Seeing this conversation between Macy and Darla, where Macy confides in Darla how in love she is with Thorne, and how afraid she is of being hurt by him again, makes it totally incomprehensible that only a few weeks later Darla would sleep with Thorne herself and simply assume that Macy had chosen Lorenzo over him. It just seems so out of character for Darla who has always been completely loyal to Sally and Macy.

Completely agreed. What's worse is that Thorne and Darla's one-night stand completely erases Thorne and Macy's history. Why bring Macy back and then destroy the supercouple that we're meant to be rooting for? Also the fun-loving Darla that we know and love disappears after this storyline. She's never the same again.

And it occurred to me that she's right.. She doesn't actually understand how destiny actually occurs naturally, and so she will create /manipulate situations to control everything and then call it destiny.

She only managed to meet Ridge because she was staIking him and his family - first at the hospital, and then when she heard Beth was catering a party at the Forrester mansion, Brooke made sure she was there. By contrast, Macy had two genuine chance encounters with Thorne (when he spilled two drinks on her in bars), and two encounters that were orchestrated by her mother (one of which was unintended). So the word "destiny" actually applies to Thorne and Macy more than it does to Ridge and Brooke.

i can't listen to brooke use the word mistake. she's supposed to have changed. really? this isn't a changed woman. a changed woman would own it and not call it a mistake. also a changed woman would not come to the woman that she had an affair with her husband and ask her to go to bat for her either by speaking to that man on her behalf or not saying how she's still feels hurt. all so that she can have whom she wants. how selfish. she wants her daughter to bury her feelings so she can get what she wants and were supposed to believe that's a changed woman? brooke just gets grosser every episode.

Honestly, Brooke is the WORST mother. Not only does she just expect bridgit to forgive and forget about what she did with Deacon, but now she also expects bridgit to be her accomplice in getting Ridge back. That's always been Bridgit's role in Brooke's life since she was a baby.. Actually, since b4 she was even born. She knows her daughter is studying medicine, and hasn't even ONCE visited her to show any interest in her school work.. She's just gone there to talk all about how bridgit can help her get back together with Ridge. Her children have never had any value to her, other than a means to an end with Ridge.

Jake was Macy's only affair, and that was 12 years ago. Thorne separated from Macy because he _thought_ she was involved with Anthony (which she wasn't). He bIamed Macy for almost being r a ped by Anthony while unconscious, and actually encouraged Anthony to pursue Macy to test her commitment. Thorne was the one who hurt Macy in that situation, not the other way around. Macy only got involved with Grant after Thorne had divorced her _by fax_ because he wanted to marry Taylor, so that was yet another instance of Thorne hurting Macy.

Umm. Every man you called there was never Macy having an affair. Esp Grant. Thorne literally faxed divorce papers to Macy from hawaii where he took Taylor bc he was hoping to get Taylor for himself. She didn't even fall in love with Grant til long after she was divorced from that fool Thorne. And Thorne only came crawling back to Macy bc his plan with Brooke to keep Taylor and Ridge apart, fell apart, and then he moved in next door to a married Grant and Macy, like the true stalker he is. If it's anyone who is always one sided, it's Thorne.
