This episode was sooooo satisfying. FINALLY someone calls Brooke out appropriately. Ridge told her off and every line out of his mouth was better than the last. I especially loved him telling her to leave his kids and Taylor out of this. RM played that indignant passion so well, too. And the coup de grace - the sad-sack remix of “Unforgettable!” I’ve never seen a character get trolled musically before; it was pretty amazing. Of course, soon enough this will all be forgotten, but I enjoyed it now.

Watching both Deacon and Ridge call out Brooke, and not let her get away with her attempts to explain away her betrayal of Bridget (including using Taylor's name to get Ridge to forgive her), is so cathartic. It's the faIIout we've been waiting for ever since this storyline began. Finally Brooke actually has to face the consequences of her affair with Deacon, and loses something precious to her. Unfortunately, Brad Bell's "sitcom writing" (@Nick) will soon reset all of this, and it will be like this scene never happened. Brooke and Ridge's wedding plans with proceed with only a slight delay.

I have commented before on how the musical storytelling is very well done in this season (even as the writing is going downhill). The sad reharmonized version of _Unforgettable_ at the end is yet another example of this, just as Ridge tells Brooke that he will try to forget her.
