Bridget breaking down sobbing in Ridge’s arms has to be the saddest thing I’ve seen on B&B in a while. If you think about it, this was the first time she was allowed to act or even vocalize an appropriate response to Brooke’s actions. About 20 minutes after confronting Brooke, the latter went into labor and needed *Bridget* to help her deliver the baby. Then Stephanie tells her to make up with Bridget. Then her own father does even mention the incident. Brooke acts like nothing ever happened. It’s actually insane. And then along comes someone who not only validates everything a normal person would say, but who encourages her to let it all out. RM came off as very sincere and compassionate in his scenes with JF. Finally, while I’m still grossed out by Ridget, I can see more than ever how it happened. Bridget’s upbringing was nail one in the coffin, so to speak, but Ridge makes things 1000 times worse here by literally being the only person in her life who cares enough to make any effort with her.

Not that I feel sorry for bridgit forgiving her mother, nor do I excuse bridgit and Ridge, but it must have been so difficult for her having no time or person (not even her other actual parent) to process this. Esp as she had to help deliver the illigitimate child. That alone should have sent her to therapy

I would love to know how exactly is she “paying for it”. She still works for forrester, gets to keep her daughter and Bridget forgave her and went back to being her puppet in Like a month. She even had her enemy suddenly be her best friend out of the blue and willing to babysit her mistake and would defend her to anyone. The only thing that she’s really given up is being able to sleep with her daughter’s husband but for some reason he’s still wants her back.

But that's not the point here, is it. The point is, her mother didn't make a mistake, she had a full blown affair and a baby by her daughter's husband. If Deacon as Bridgit's husband is bad, Brooke as her own mother is 10x worse. And if Brooke was so affected by her father's abandonment, she should seek professional help bc that is no excuse for her, esp as a mother of 2 grown children, to continue behaving this way, and then expecting everyone to just get over it and forgive her. At some point she needs to grow up, take responsibility for her life, and stop making her childhood an excuse.

Sorry but I have no sympathy for Bridget playing the victim in ridge's arms and over doing it. I am not saying that what Brooke did wasn't bad and wrong for her child but lets face it Britget was asking for trouble how many times did the whole family warn her against Deacon. Deacon was using her in the worst possible way. Even her mother knew this and wanted to split them up. In my opinion she found the way to do that. Bridget always even in the future tends to fall for the wrong men. So sad.😅

Yes, Bridgit was asking for trouble staying with Deacon.. But she certainly wasn't asking for that kind of trouble by just being her mother's daughter. And I don't sympathise with her forgiving her mom, but I do understand her current breakdown. She couldn't even go to her own father about this and really has been just holding it in so as to keep her mother from being shamed. What bridgit should have done, was get some therapy and never speak to Brooke ever again.
