Bold Blocks Quilt Top - 3-Yard Quilt from Fabric Cafe

3-Yard Quilts were such a hit in 2023, I'm bringing them forward in to 2024! I've got so much more of my stash to work through, plus SO many 3-yard patterns from Fabric Cafe that I have yet to create. More fabric, more patterns, more fun!
The goal for these quilts is to use as much of my stash as possible in order to clear space for new fabrics, notions and more! In the end, the quilts will be donated to local charities and individuals in need of a new quilt to call their own.

I made a Bold Blocks quilt for my 2 year old grandson in December. He loves Paw Patrol, so I used a package of fat quarters for the focus blocks. Some of the prints were directional but work great in this pattern. Love how this top turned out--also enjoyed your 2 part video with the ladies at Fabric Cafe!

Hi Emily ! Happy New Year🎉 I just noticed that you use kitty pins! It so happens that I have the material all ready to go to make Bold Blocks for my husband. He chose the pattern, and the material! I was tickled pink to see you making it up … For binding, I have been using 2 1/2 inch l WOF strips of fabric alternating a light and a dark ( fabric 2 And 3 in 3 yard quilts) It solves the problem of maybe not having enough of one colour of fabric, and imo does seem to look nice on the quilt. Can’t wait to see you do the machine quilting… Looking forward to seeing lots more of you and Trixie and your quilt adventures in 2024!❤❤❤❤

I was short fabric for what I needed for binding. So a friend suggested I sew a piece of something different to it (kind of flange style). I did and it worked bkz the odd fabric was hidden inside. Boom!

Cute as always! I used to question some of the fabrics you would combine until you would show the finished quilt. They were cute every time and really came together well. You do have a good eye for putting fabrics together. Glad you showed this video

I am currently in stash/scrap mode, but as I find chunks that I have set aside for pillowcases, I am absolutely making them! I've already made one this year so far as a "brain break" from cleaning and found another this morning to do 😸
