If he had truly loved Steffy he never would have divorced her and married Hope. If he had truly loved Hope he never would have asked Steffy to run away with him on the day he was marrying Hope. If he had truly loved Steffy he never would have asked her to move out of the house when Hope wanted him back. If he had loved Hope he never would ditched her when he found out Steffy was pregnant. I think from there and this episode. It was the beginning of the end of the Lope couple. The Lope couple never trusted each other. The feelings have changed. The couple at the start is no longer the same. Expectations are no longer the same. Hope and Liam each have too different views on married life. They are alike in character, yet there are often opposites that attract and make to be together. Hope and Liam are not on the same frame of mind and still are today. Hope and Liam's evolution did not happen simultaneously like Steam's. Steam has evolved emotionally and romantically together. Yes, in 2019 Lope got back together, but it was because Hope got pregnant, Steffy made the biggest mistake, and Liam before Hope came along, let Sally drag him into her troubles. company, that there was an affair between a Liam married to Sally's worst enemy, Sally who still tried the poor girl in distress with Thomas at the time and finally the problems of father and son between Bill and Liam (Steffy in the middle to repair Bill and Sally's damage). I like Sally, but twice helped by Steffy's brother and husband, that was the worst enemy at the time, that's a lot. And Liam who left his marriage to play the savior and Thomas who left his post to work with Sally. I think that's why it's so easy for Liam to separate from Steffy. She is not a girl who will complain or cry every day. She's not a girl who is going to tell Liam that he was in a relationship back then and that they need to be together. As Stephanie had said, before her death to Steffy. She knows how to let the loved one go when necessary and let go. She knows she has to move on. And one day or another, the man she loved would always come back. That’s why, I found it weird that Stephanie didn’t fight for Eric. He always ran back to Stephanie when he got tired of the other women.
