*_“Not what you’d like to believe happened but on what truly did happen last spring.”_* Eric does a good job here of articulating the Delusion vs Reality theme with Brooke that I’ve been writing about for a while. It’s actually been interesting watching these old episodes to realize what a decent narrator Eric was at times (he also called a lot of things correctly when he was married to Brooke, like the fact that Ridge would not wait for her for six weeks and that he would choose Taylor). I guess living with Stephanie all those years means some of her magic dust would rub off on him.

Eric does make a point, just because Brooke wants Ridge to be the father doesn't mean that Ridge actually is the father. What Brooke has is just wishful thinking. Yes, it's true that she and Eric only slept together once but Brooke seems to be oblivious to the fact that ONCE IS ALL IT TAKES! She's making it out like it needs to be done in stages. It doesn't matter how active she was with Ridge at the time. Even if she made love to Ridge 100 times back then, as long as she still made love to Eric just 1 time, there's still reason for doubt.

Why is Stephanie even there for the test? She literally has zero involvement in this situation. Why not bring Thorne, Felicia, Kristen, Maria, Karen, Macy, Taylor, and the Forrester dogs along as well?
