The Stans hold Macy (and others characters) to a much higher standard than they do Brooke. And they always exaggerate another character's misdeeds (Macy is a monster! Taylor did it too! Stephanie is a bed-hopper! Sally is a bad mother!) as projections for stuff that's actually true about Brooke and more directly demonstrated by her behavior.

😂 It really isn't hard to find the other characters much better than Brooke. Brooke is sneaky, ruthless, manipulative, self-centered, arrogant and lying. The other characters may have ONE of these traits, but never all of them.

Rick was trying to bIame the entire situation on Deacon, until Deacon pointed out to him that Amber almost drove the car off a cIiff. You could see that at that moment, Rick realized just how close Amber came to unaliving both herself and Little Eric.

Was Deacon a plant?? Third of all, if you think anyone in this situation would kidnap the child, freak out like a psychopath, drive in a dangerous speed and hold the kid in a cliff, than either you don’t get out much, or this is the kind of people you hang out with or god knows what the hell is going through your mind

Rick is just like his mom. He can’t take an ounce of responsibility for his actions. RICK is the reason Deacon is involved in the first place. He went to go find him and BUY his parental rights from Deacon. Rick tried to keep Deacon from his son on multiple times. Every bit of this is Rick’s fault because he’s a spoiled brat with mommy’s lawyers on speed dial. Then when things don’t go his way he abandons his wife in the hospital and divorces her leaving her used and broken. What a creep, Amber is a creep too but Rick is the bigger creep.

Even though I do like Deacon, I was so mad at Rick for tracking down Deacon to break up Amber & CJs wedding. CJ was my favourite character. They could have introduced Deacon some other way.

Becky initially wanted Rick and Amber to raise Eric together and when Rick declined she wanted CJ Amber to do so.But she was always clear that she wanted Amber to raise Eric as his mother.It's sad that it didn't happen.I used to love Becky and Amber's bond. It's also ironic that eventually Deacon will again lose his way and get into alcohol and give up his son to his grandparents in deathvalley.Years later Eric will come back looking for Amber and NOT Deacon.Ultimately she will be the one who will put that child through good private boarding schooling even with lack of cash. They ruined Amber a lot post 2003 but I am glad that they atleast kept this part of her character intact.She always loved that child with all her heart and she was the only mother he ever really knew.

As a mom of two toddlers myself,I can feel Amber's pain at the thought of losing a child she raised for 5 years.Although it was impulsive I can still understand why she panicked and took away Eric. I generally sympathise with Macy considering her past struggles but I am sorry to say but I find it hypocritical that she is judging Amber for speeding the car and losing control when she herself has done it few years ago with Brooke in it.She did it for a spineless man who was cheating on her.If she could loose her senses for a while for a man,so can Amber.Atleast Amber did it for someone she considered as her child. The attachment someone feels for their child is always more intense then what they would for their lover. I also didn’t like that Macy called Amber crazy.She could have shown Amber a little bit of more empathy.But I guess after their fight during her wedding that’s how Macy saw her. IMO Not allowing Amber to ever see Eric is a harsh decision.Atleast with supervision she should have been allowed considering that even Eric sees her as his mom and was seen missing her even last year when Rick Amber had separated.Amber needed some therapy,the pain of losing two children already took a toll on her.

If Macy had driven reckIessIy and lost control of herself _now,_ with a child in the car, I wouldn’t trust her as a parent either. As it was, Macy's loss of controI happened three years ago, at a time when she was drinking (which she isn't anymore), and it had nothing to do with parenting. What matters is the safety of the child. And right now it is Amber, not Macy, who came _thisclose_ to actually *kiIIing* Little Eric. It is not hypocriticaI to object to someone risking a chiId's life. Besides, Macy is not trying to keep Amber from seeing Little Eric ever again. She is telling Amber to get it together _or eIse_ she won't see the kid. And she actually does bring Little Eric to Amber's hospital room for a visit the next day.

@ That’s a valid point.Amber indeed is a mess right now and that’s why I said under supervision she should still be allowed to see Eric and should be given therapy.But in coming episodes it will be revealed that Rick and Amber will lose the right to see the child forever.I personally find it a harsh decision considering that both of them have given a stable happy home to that child for his entire life. Parenting is not always easy.Sometimes we do f*ck up as parents and Amber did this time out of her intense love for this child.This is the woman who broke down Deacon’s door with axe when Eric was continuously crying for her and Deacon was basically ignoring it.Even after trying to sell his son earlier and abandoning him for a year to be a good lover to his mil,Deacon still got a second chance.Why couldn’t Amber? Both Macy and Deacon became sober not too long ago.They both haven’t really done parenting for a significant time as of now to judge them as parents.But apart from this incident ,Amber never really did anything else to be called an unfit parent.Infact to me it always felt Eric was her top most priority.She was seen doing double shifts for Eric after Becky’s death,living against her will with Deacon for 4 months and even almost married a guy she didn’t love to provide a stable home to the child.All that should be taken into account.

@@456Tanu I do feel for Amber because in the beginning of this storyline she was a good mother and was willing to work with Deacon to find a solution that would make everyone happy. But right now, she is actually not being a good parent. The way she stood holding Little Eric at the edge of that cIiff was nothing short of horrifying. Amber actually did plenty of questionable things as a parent before, and got many second chances already. She stoIe her cousin's child, Iied about it, and kept him from his real mother until he was a year old, just because Amber didn't want to lose Rick. She kept the truth about Becky's illness from Becky, so she didn't have time to make proper arrangements for her son's future. She invited random strangers to her apartment when the kid was there, and as it turned out they were doing dr u g s. She got add ic ted to piIIs, tried to take care of Little Eric while she was under the infIuence, and left her piIIs lying on the fIoor where he could have found them. She undermined his relationship with his father by making a scene at Deacon's wedding in front of the child, and then trying to drive off with him right after the ceremony when he was supposed to go to Mexico. And now this. It's clear that she loves the boy, but she is clearly not the most stabIe person.

Oscar was such a pointless character. I know they were trying to bring another Marone to fortify their family’s importance in next seasons storyline but as an individual character, he did nothing. And the whole mob element was so cheesy. Other soaps have done it right but this one not so much…

I hated that she told Amber that no wonder Eric is terrified having a mother like Amber.That was a low blow.I understand Macy is upset but something has to be said about the authority with which she is berating Amber while she is lying in hospital bed.She hardly knows him for a couple of months while Amber has been a mother to that child since the day he was born.I even feel Deacon wouldn’t have revoked visitation rights completely if Macy didn’t encourage him to press charges since he clearly knows the bond Eric shares with Amber.
