The Sally/Stephanie scene where both of them reflect on their own mortality was nice. And it highlighted a difference in their parenting styles - Stephanie wants to act on behalf of her children, Sally trusts her children to make their own decisions.

Yes. But both want their children to be happy. Brooke can't join this convo, however, bc her parenting style is to use her children for her own happiness.

Ok, I'll admit it: I laughed at Rudy's joke about the "boner-fide hit." Growing up with all brothers and male cousins will make one appreciate that kind of lowbrow humor. The Sally and Stephanie scene was lovely. I particularly enjoyed Stephanie's, "Is the queen receiving?". It was a nice hint at the reversal of their positions (Stephanie needs something from Sally now), because Sally always called Stephanie the queen.

Been watching this show from day one that it aired in nineteen eighty seven and actually stopped watching after Susan Flannery, Stephanie, and Ron Moss, original Ridge, left the show for many years. I feel like I've grown up with the cast as I am close in age with KKL. Started watching again the current episodes and I have to say it is definitely not the same since those two and Tylo Hunter left. There are just certain characters you just can't replace. As far as Amber goes, she creates her own problems. Has she not learned anything about lying. As far as brook is concerned, did she really think Ridge would never find out about Hope even though it didn't take him long to forgive Brooke down the road. The show definitely turned into the Hope show once they turned her into a eighteen year old overnight from a young toddler as I am watching episodes from that time on also. I'm not sure about anyone else but I find myself skipping through certain storylines now on the older episodes and the newer ones.

In the beginning yes she did, but I think since the middle of the 90s they are becoming more and more good accaintance and at the end very good friends. Already before Thorne and Macy's first wedding, Stephanie spoke highly of Macy even as she disapproved of the marriage. She told Macy that she had many admirable traits and that any mother would be happy to have her as a daughter-in-law, but that because of the rivalry between the families, Stephanie couldn't see the marriage working. Stephanie's disapproval of Thorne's marriage to Macy was never anything personal against Macy.

Annie, the most neutral ( with Nick) poster of the comment section has to reply to some of the nonsense people are saying about Macy. Someone is here to tease all the posters who prefer Macy's character to Brooke's. They don't like competition at all. The only argument they have is to respect Brooke as the star of the show. That's enough for her to be untouchable.
@annieo6527Ай бұрын
Dating someone is not the same as having an _affair._ The one time that Macy actually had an affair was with Jake, and even then, she che at ed on Thorne emotionally rather than s ex u ally (since the only time she actually slept with Jake was while she and Thorne were separated and he was _also_ considering dating other people - then when she moved back in with Thorne, she was open with him about having seen someone else during their separation, but what she did wrong was that she didn't stop seeing Jake). Macy dated Sly after Thorne had already broken up with her, and Thorne was living with (and sleeping with) Karen at the time, long before Macy first slept with Sly. She dated Anthony after Thorne had (again) separated from her and it was Thorne who _gave his permission_ to Anthony to go after Macy as a kind of "test", at a time when the relationship between Macy and Anthony existed only in Thorne's mind. They (probably) never slept together. And throughout her years on the show, Macy _never once_ showed any interest in a man who was in a relationship with another woman. It is easy to find misdeeds when looking closely enough at a character's history, but one also needs to take into account whether these actions are _exceptions_ or part of a _pattern._ A character is defined not just by their actions but by how _frequently_ they do these actions. Having affairs is something that characters like Macy, Taylor, Bridget and Stephanie may do _once._ But having affairs and pursuing married men is one of Brooke's _fundamental, defining_ character traits.
