Thorne seems fairly bipolar. One minute he's bawling over Macy and talking about how much he loved her, and the literal next minute he's like... Yeah... Anyway!! And is slobbering all over Brooke. Then back to.. Macy was so sweet and I loved her.... There's nothing about Thorne's and Brooke's "relationship" that seems real. Brooke's being true to her usual s L e a sy self, but given that Thorne has actually seen what Brooke is capable of, it really feels like he is sleepwalking or something.

At least when Ridge moved on quickly after Caroline and Taylor's deaths, he and Brooke had an actual relationship/history to fall back on. Thorne and Brooke have nothing.

@@NewYorkNick0607 I made another comment somewhere about that. The whole relationship feels fake bc there is no history to back up all of this "desperate love" & "angst". As ridiculous as the story was with Thorne /Karen/ Macy , at the very least his relationship with Karen had some more believability to it, bc he had a history with being in love / infatuated with Caroline who had the same face. With Brooke, it is just.. Empty. Hard to believe Brooke is the woman Macy once asked to stand up for her at her wedding... To Thorne! And Brooke didn't even care enough to do it, or even attend. Now Brooke and Thorne are desperately in love? 😐

I know - the way Thorne is being portrayed just seems _off_ at this point. Even if he was in love with Brooke, no human being in their right mind would be _this_ unaffected by the death of his wife whom he has a 10 year history with. Like you say, it feels like he's sleepwalking, or is brainwashed, or has an addlction, or _something._ He appear to have no emotions other than physical desire. And the weak point is that Thorne and Brooke have never even _been_ in a relationship. They don't have a history apart from trying to get together but not quite getting there because it would unalive people. They don't even know what they are flghting for. But maybe this is what add lction feels like - nothing else matters, not even the people one loves.

@@TriniT21 yeah, the whole "unreliable narrative" is getting worse because now the writers are really trying to make us root for Brooke/Thorne to get married, by creating obstacles like Kimberly (who is in no way a viable romantic option for Thorne) and Bridget (who always ends up accepting whatever Brooke does).

I just cannot get into Brooke and Thorne. At all. They have no chemistry and everything just comes across fake and overdone. Plus they really have no history together. Brooke barely ever spoke to Thorne... Ever. And I remember Thorne being quite unhappy with Brooke for marrying Eric and when he found out she took over the company. This is really too forced.

He seems to have been having a difficult time making everyone happy…Brooke, Macy, Stephanie, Kimberly. 🥴 Thorne appears to be making one bad decision after another… Trying to please everyone and pleasing no one (except Brooke). Yet Macy and Kimberly weren’t blaming Thorne for all his Missteps? 😮 Thorne also seems to have completely forgotten Brooke’s history with Ridge? You can tell with Brooke’s flattering dialogue that the fall from Grace is coming. 😌

For those in the live chat wondering about the neighboring beach houses - Grant and Macy moved in to their beach house in 1998 when they were newlyweds, only to discover Thorne had moved in next door (this was supposedly a coincidence). Nobody wanted to move so they ended up as neighbors. (Thorne of course was in love with Macy all that time which was a major reason why he kept living next door to her.)

Sally loves on Darla and Kimberly like they were her own. She would give her life for CJ and Macy both and we seen her do that too.
