A bit of nostalgia, I score a deal on a vintage Bolink Legends car and assemble a new RJspeed kit to go with it. I run across a few issues along the way, but at least the paint turned out good, lol.

OMG Same Here!! I had a Team Associated RC10T2 Truck!! And I got a Bolink with the foam tires.. You might wants some different tires for Dirt and Grass.. I won abunch of ribbons racing at tracks with my T2, super fast for a offroad truck.. Got the Bolink cause I wanted to race more carpet tracks indoors, but I ended up just kinda getting out of it.. Got all my rc stuff back out the other day lol Good times and good memories..

Trinity street spec pan car class was super popular in the 90's! I ran a TA-02SW in touring car. Had a Bolink Eliminator as well. Still have all but 3 of my R/C cars including my first ever. A kyosho optima!😊

These cars are FAMOUS for missing parts, wrong parts, damaged parts etc. But they are a lot of fun.

I have two original Bolink Legends cars and a 1978 RC12E. Have had them for years. I really like these cars. And love the fact that RJSpeed still carries parts.

We used to race these cars on tennis courts or basketball courts or parking lots. The reason they are specked 4cell is because 6cell is too much. The motors were 27turn "stock" class. Your front suspension problem is most likely the plastic fits too tight on the kingpin. You can probably open it up a little with a drill bit. The pinion gear size was dependent on the size of the track. They used the 540 motors because the 380's were not reliable. The easiest way to cut out the body is to score with the Sharp point of a hobby knife and bend back and forth . We also had to dial out the steering to help keep it in control . I hope this helps you. Happy Rc'ing!

Ah I remember Bolink... don’t think it was very well known here, probably more a America focused brand, but still, their stuff looked very different and interesting, very simple but effective. Of the two bodies, I definitely prefer the yellow legend one, looks so good on that chassis. Can’t wait to see more!

I always wanted to get into the legends racing. The simplicity is what was attractive to me about the class of car/chassis. Cool build/find.

You did a damn good job at painting that body. I never saw one back in the day that looked good closer than 20 feet! All my bodies were painted by my buddy that painted cars. If I wanted it painted I had to show up on a day he was spraying the color I wanted! 3 coats of PPG Whatever he had in the gun!

Haha. I appreciate the smoke blowing. But I really appreciate hearing folks like you enjoy the channel and stir up new creative ideas from what I’m doing. As far as rc tow trucks go, I have seen some amazing functional tow rigs out there and it is on my to do list as well. I stockpile ideas and just wait for the right scale products to come along to make a reality. The best ideas for builds are the ones your passionate about. I’ve been bouncing around between my real car projects and rc builds as well lately. But thanks for watching buddy. I really appreciate the comments.

I was told and it makes sense that making two different frame sides was confusing and more expensive. Make every hole you need and make two of the same part. The kid is going to break it anyway and be back in the Tower Hobbies catalog next week! LOL!:)

They are neat though, would look good on your air ride ramp truck. It was not to long, it was more honest than a lot of other youtuber's I like the yellow one you could Sharpie a couple of Moon eyes where the headlight is moulded in the fenders on the outside.
