This was golden era. An era of harmony, peace, unity, mutual respect, love, care, humanity, simplicity, innocence, joy and true development rather then artificial development. Oh Lord, please bring back such times again. Such times of family culture and brotherhood amongst all communities. This is the bollywood that showed its audience mythology and history of india, this is the bollywood that taught its audience to not dress their widows in white and to not treat them unfairly, this was the bollywood that to an extent achieved in teaching women rights to its Muslim audience in such a method that without bothering/offending its Muslim audience, this was the bollywood that promoted communal/relegious harmony, this was the bollywood that taught us to respect women regardless housewife or working-wife, this was the bollywood that always portrayed India positively. It always advertised india's heritage and culture. But late 90's onwards, hell broke loose. Now bollywood does completely opposite and today's bollywood cannot make it more obvious that from the past 20 years or so its been working hard on (still is) culture/society-degrading agenda. Now bollywood is not worth it. In fact I will go as far as saying that it's high-time we boycott bollywood. It's not worth the attention anymore. What kind of a judgemental and degrading society has bollywood formed in the Indian society wherein a women wearing a salwar kameez, saree, ghagra-choli or burqa is looked down at and those ladies are unnecessarily penilised and made to feel guilty for no reason whatsoever. Moreover in bollywood's dictionary modern or let's use the more elaborated term "modernisation" simply means wearing western clothes and speaking in English and your considered even more modern if what you say opposes Indian heritage and hindu culture, oh and don't forget to swear is well because for a girl to speak slang means the girl is promoting either feminism or gender equality applying to bollywood. Also, I must not forget to mention when these modern girls see a lady in salwar kameez, saree or burqa just don't forget to give them that dirty look down (and the looking down at implies: "oh she's one of those who is abused by her dad or husband at home. Arrr yuk, I pitty on you. Ufff thank god I am a spoilt-brat princess daughter of a self-proclaimed king and not one of these) because that's what bollywood teaches you. Bollywood has done more then enough harm to the Indian society and Indians have been blind and deaf enough not to realise for more then enough of a long time now. Bollywood bye bye. We don't need subliminal bigotry crap. No more.

All those media reports writing Rajesh khan an off after 1973 zanzeer should look at this and rethink their plot lines. Rajesh khan a was a force to reckon with until 1987 . That is the most honest assessment of his career anybody,s made and subash gai made this comment to the media in 2012 upon Rajesh death. Like shahrukh said Rajesh khanna Sir you can not touch. We can talk about the rest . Sashi was very charming and filled with love for his brother. Good memories. A good reminder of the golden era. Thanks for posting.

Nowadays it seems like every other person is suffering depression especially the youth. Which is so sad also an indication of kaliyuga on its peak. In my opinion back in the days one or two individual would work (as if a job to get paid) and the including them and the rest of the family would peacefully have their 3 meals a day, exceptional shelter, clean water and good food without concern. That's not the case in the past 10-15 years or so because times are getting worse and prices are getting high now its almost compulsory for literally EVERYONE to be extremely highly-educated and highly-skilled, now there is a crazy race regarding education and employment. We do not have a choice we hafto dive into this pool of trap that will sooner or later, definitely result in depression regardless rich or poor. It's the only way we can survive orelse you will be thoroughly disacknowledged by the world till the point you die in isolation of hunger and thurst. This is what has happened to the world and this is the reason why family culture has been destroyed and its very rare to come across loveable/genuine, helpful people; because the world has became an enslaved global village to masterminds of the planet who have succeeded to form a world wherein the purpose/story of an individual's lifetime is : study, study, study then work, work, work or let's say earn, earn, earn... Forced to believe not to give a flying F**K about people around you, Now your old. Just die. Next generation please. Your out of order now. I am sure you are smart enough to figure out what/who I am talking about. Yes it's them, without doubt. They are the ones who want a world of zero family culture, zero humanity and zero respect. Its time to stop sleeping and........... KALIYUGA.... all the signs and symptoms are present. Clock is ticking.

If this is 1970s then I cant help wonder how westernized Bollywood was back then! Everyone kissing each other in their cheeks and ball room dancing and men in blazers and ties. Back in South where I grew up this was indeed more Western than it could have happened there

Bollywood was always like 20 years ahead of the rest of the India earlier. They used to set trends here. Rest of the mango people had no access to western world. So bollywood was their source of all the coolest things. Bollywood enjoyed their own "Bandra kingdom" and used it to their advantage. They used to blatantly copy western movies, songs etc. But it has slowly changed after introduction of internet. Now we have access to global cinema, fashion trends. Internet has created a level playing field for everyone. Now bollywood folks still enjoy privileges but they are not way ahead of us like earlier. The coolest song that SRK's anime movie that SRK's kids watched is already being watched by millions of Urban kids in India. People are aware now, they're knowledgeable they won't accept any Arjun Kapoor or Sonam Kapoor. They are creating better contents. They troll celebrities if they messed up.
