I do not agree with Javed Akhtar on everything but he is definitely interesting to listen. Arbaaz interviewed him in such a nice way that he let Javed Akhtar express his views freely. As an interviewer he never overwhelmed him at the same time he never disappeared.

Very well interviewed.. But the definition of destiny is not correctly described. It's is not is written because you have to do this rather it is written because you will do it, that is why it is written. The Creator knows every possible move or choice we on any moment in our life and he know which one we will choose,that's how it is written. All believers are not stupid as Javed sahab thinking.

To be honest javed is going overboard now on sholay . Condolences meeting is too much ...I think honestly reading there recent interviews they are taking much more credit for sholay. See I can understand there contribution as script and dialogue writer but it's director genius who executes your script which is very important . You can have brilliant story to tell but if the visualization and execution of that script is not impactfull then the script is not of that use . If that was so easy why salim javed never direct any film . 😊

But god gave us free will and free will is to choose between good and evil as allah said in chapter 90 verse 8-10 8.Have We not given them two eyes 9.a tongue, and two lips 10.and shown them the two ways ˹of right and wrong. And, Javed sab rightly said. Listen to Salim Sab and you find lot of Javed akhtar in him. Out of the box thinking duo, for not only sholey but for Shan, Shakti, don, deewar, trishul, hati mere sathi, yado ki barat, Mr India, Andaz, Zanzeer, seeta aur geeta and off course combination of entire film industry sholey. What i felt is they separated a bit early. 5-6 more films with bacchan at his peak, Salim javed combo missed the trick with bacchan shashi kapoor, bacchan vinod khanna, bacchan dharmendra once again with dany or amrish puri as villain would have banged. They left when when amrish puri started climbing his peak and so on. Hats of the most successful pair and made for each other jodi. All time best screenwriter's, dialogue writters, story writers in the world. Lots of love to you Javed Sab and off course Salim sab.❤❤❤. Good work Arbaz. One interview with N.Chandra and Raju hirani please. And if you can get Ramesh sippy, that would be the biggest interview of all times. ❤

I've always admired Javed Akhtar's brilliance and forward-thinking. However, one question has been on my mind: the plagirisation of different Sholay movie scenes from Hollywood films. Recently, I saw a few KZbin videos in which many of the memorable Sholay scenes that left a dramatic impression were traced to the western films from which they were sourced. The similarity is obvious. Arbaaz can make a simple KZbin search and find those videos. Salim-Javed may tell the tale of how these moments from western movies were chosen and incorporated in Sholay in such a striking way.
