BOLO Shotgun Shells In Depth Review: Overpowered or Useless? (MWIII Stats and Classes)

It's too bad they couldn't make the projectile an actual bolo. It would do decent damage up close but at longer ranges it would spread out and have a horizontal wire that had a fixed damage that wouldn't be very high, but with spammy shotguns it would be able to get you consistent hits at range. Basically a way to make semi auto shotguns more viable at longer ranges.

I feel like a nice buff to these would be to give the bolo rounds themselves a wider side to side bullet registration than normal slugs. So a near miss would result in a hit

It's actually quite good. I retract what I said about the Riveter in my other comment. With the ball ammo , I find it more usable than the Haymaker now.

So what I get from it is that it is a slug, except with gimmicks and extra consistancy with the downside being range. I think it works like a poor man's dragon's breath- that thing already gives you consistancy and blinds the enemy at the cost of range

Bolo shells would be nice if they actually stopped the enemy in tbsir tracks for 3 to 5 seconds and had minimal killing power like the gas crossbow. Would be an interesting way to get headshots with a secondary if you run the fast swap gloves or stunning the hunt bosses in zombies.

bolo, maybe they intend for you to use a short barrel to make the shot spread out faster and at close range. Just tested this and when you aim down at the empty black at the end of the range. I think I see TWO red dots about 6 inches apart at impact. Tested on dumby and I think I see one hit it, and another make a mark on the wall besides it. I'd like to get a dev to answer about this.

did you try slugs on the riveter? i've honestly been having a lot of fun with it, almost feels like a more close range focused battle rifle

They should make the crosshair like this for them •-• then you just have to put the line on them. it’s supposed to shoot 2 balls chained together right would make sense! Maybe it’s just bugged rn?

Personally, I use a fast loadout with two smokes to run thru open areas. Plus Ghost and Covert

Shotguns are simply not usable on all maps unless you can effectively camp a specific spot on the map that works for shotguns. Wasteland? You will have no success anywhere but the center trench. Afghan? Maybe you could make the cave work but even then not good at all. Terminal? Very situational. I think the only maps shotguns can be used solely as primaries on is Favela, Karachi, Invasion, Sub Base, I think that is it off the top of my head

Why would anyone use slugs over a sniper? There’s only downsides to shotguns with slugs compared to a more consistent one shot and faster movement/ads speed sniper.
