I was an EDM guy for like 20 years and only started getting introduced to the hiphop production sphere when i grabbed an MPC and was looking for tutorials. When i stumbled across your channel and then learned you were the "whip nae nae guy," I was like alright - let's see what this dude has to say... Been following for a while and you are truly a real one. Always love your content even in situations where I'm sure I know all the concepts you're talking about - I feel like i either learn something new, or learn something I forgot or took for granted. Keep at it - appreciate everything you do!

Listen to this man. I have been blessed to work for a major production team and label for years. The reality is that as a producer you're going to get way more money breaking a new artist than getting on an established artist record. Not unless the artist is a great person being fair. But even then all you going to negotiate is 50% of your publishing. I've spoken to producers and artist for years to understand the business. Always look to break the artist yourself. It's truly millions of dollars with one hit single.

Thanks for the information. Do you have a course or something that can teach the business strategy you are speaking of? Finding the artist is the easy part, but knowing how to maneuver the business side is another story. Just wondering if you have a systematic way of approaching this that can be shared and duplicated by other people?
@BoloDaProducer5 ай бұрын
No, because a course won’t work because every situation. The only thing I can say is, the internet has been very good to me. And if you can get an artist and invest in them using internet tools in my experience it will help. Such as internet ads, they are cheap, you can start really low, gather analytics then focus more advertising from the positive aspects of the analytics
