I ain’t gonna lie. My first iPad DAW was BM3, I later purchased Cubasis, NanoStudio 2, MPC pro and others. I do make music in those DAWs but I always end up in BM3 just because of the ease, convenience, you can import audio, add audio tracks, connect a mic or guitar. SO MANY OPTIONS! I’m excited for what BM3 comes up with next to add to this DAW

I bought an iPad pro and got beatmaker 3 a while back..eventually later I picked up an MPC ONE to have somthing else as backup. But the funny thing is I ended up selling my mpc cuz i realized beatmaker 3 so good it was all I needed. Great Vid Bolo! Your awesome:)

That is really interesting. I’ve been on hardware for a long time. When the iOS music landscape started being a thing, I bought/tried some stuff..still buy and use a lot of it now……but even til this day, nothing beats hardware for me. Recently bought an MPC Live 2 (I still own a 2000XL) and I’m so glad I did. What was I waiting for??? lol That unit is so easy to rock on and it has pads…knobs…buttons… (wish it had a slider) not pads on an iPad screen. An AKAI stand-alone is a yuge deal. And did I mention I use BM3 too? 🤔🔥 I MIDI BM3 to my AKAI MPK225 keyboard and it’s a wrap. 🤣💯 I also feel you, because why should you hold on to anything you aren’t going to use and can see doing the same thing ….& sometimes more… for $30. Potatoes po-tato’s. 😂

So MPC is really overrated, huh? I really wanna get a Roland TR8S or MC-707 groovebox as a back-up for my iPad AUM workflow. I use AudioShare for my samples. I like the idea of not having to be connected to the internet to enjoy my gear. I use the same principle with my flashed Nintendo Wii for playing older roms and emulation. You can't replace those consoles, it was a glorious time before all the micro transactions and monthly fees came along. I'm trying to do the same thing with music production. My plan is to install Ubuntu Studio onto a Chromebook, then I'll truly be mobile and be able to do shows for homeless people like I have always dreamed of doing.

It’s powerful. I mostly use it now to work out ideas using Chomplr, because I really dig it. Sometimes I use the BM sampler to chop imported samples and it’s always really easy to do. I jumped right into it without reading any manual or watching any tutorials. I wasn’t able to say this before, because it was sitting on my iPad (after a holiday sale) and I hadn’t even touched it. 😂 But, yessir. BM3 is definitely an iOS beast. 💯🔥

Yo BOLO, How do you fix the thin sound after exporting? Im new to beatmaking and BM3 is all I've ever used. Not even garageband on desktop.. I cant mix for sh** so it gives me hope that BM3 makes any1s mix sound bad.

Aye man if not mistaken in an older video he said he does in post with UAD summing in another DAW to add gain and tonal summing kinda like “warm” it up and he use fab filter on the iPad within Beatmaker 3 I forget which video he did previously where he talked about that.

Bolo uses many but one often is Logic, if you don't have it, get Cubasis 3 for IOS and it's a monster to master with has waves plugs.

They need to get the midi mapping fixed though. I got a Korg nanoKontrol Studio. There is no reason they can't get global midi mapping so we dont have to switch from what we doing to go to the mixer page and then back and forth. The rest is great.

I have to agree. I swear this is on top of the list of reasons why I’m selling my MPC One. Akai should be ashamed. I always big up BM3s PSTS algorithm as one of the best. It’s better than DAWs that cost like hundreds of $$$s. It’s 2022 for crying out loud. 🙄 Some of these DAW developers should be embarrassed.
