Best believe when im working in fl studio i have that soft clipper on my drum bus😂 this is major for us mpc users the drums already hit hard this will take them to the next level. Dope beat too Bolo
@365OTG3 ай бұрын
Dope, some things you limit, some things you soft clip.There is a softclipper built into the DRUM FX its in spot 7 in case you wanted to apply it standalone on a per pad basis to anything in a drum program specifically etc.... But there was no Soft Clipper to shape and add on the subs or master or other tracks. Def must have, they keep making it better, and its available for the Force/MPC users

@spaindagoat21902 ай бұрын
Fire vid. Just wanted to point out how we get that sound out of FL soft clipper. You want the effect to not be working at all unless something goes OVER 0 db so pretty much threshold/drive whatever your program calls it that should be at 0 and the output should also be put to 0. Here’s the trick. Turn your 808 up past 0 db so like +1.5 db is a good place to start. This then only effects your 808, the rest of the mix won’t be affected. Only thing is “room” in the mix but this is trap music we don’t care. Turn your drums up loud too to combat that “space” in the mix lol. This can be done with limiters as well. Attack ALL THE WAY DOWN. Release ALL THE WAY DOWN threshold at 0 and same thing turn your 808 up past 0.

Great video my brother. I have a question I would like to ask you if you're working outside of the box 100%. Do you really use all those plugins? For example, my MPC goes into my analog heat from there goes into my patch Bay into my black audio to my 16 track mixer with any of those plug-ins do me any
@BoloDaProducer3 ай бұрын
I work outside of the box about 90% of the time. However, I still, on occasion, route my beats into a DAW. But when I route my beats into a DAW, I use the effects that I have. When I route into my DAW, I run my beats through my manly preamp into my universal audio interface.

I just bought this dope plugin and was able to install it on my computer where I can use it in my DAW. However, my MPC doesn't give me the option to install it on there. I'm running 2.14 firmware and when I go to the activation screen under preferences, the soft clipper doesn't appear among the other plugins in the list that can be downloaded and purchased. My question is: Why?, especially after I purchased it already.
@jasontaylor4043 ай бұрын
Does it show up on your InMusic account? Did you purchase directly from Akai?

@jasontaylor404 UPDATE: The plugin finally showed up in the list the next night I turned on the MPC X, and I was able to install it without any issues. It still baffles me why it did not show up that first time, though. Anyway, it's no longer an issue now. Thanks! Oh, and to answer your question, yes. It does show up in my InMusic account. In fact, I installed it on the PC software first before trying to install it on the hardware.
