This is pretty exciting honestly. I can see a use case for this tool personally and not just for chopping. Being able to clearly hear those parts allows me to make new version of them in a different pattern. There's some music that has tons of layers that I have always wanted to isolate the keys to be able to learn how to play. Also pulling guitar licks from old records to learn how to make new licks.

Yeah, I agree ~ just as a music lover and a listener, it's a dream come true to be able to get even closer and explore the music that has inspired us. Serato has had a similar feature for a while and I've been just listening to stems of old soul records.

Woah!! I haven't touched an MPC in almost ten years, used a DAW-or made a beat-in almost seven years. It's wild all the features this has! I don't know anything about music production software products past Reason 6, so all the features since then paralyzed me (in awe and in the quantity of what I've missed). Good stuff!

Man out of all of my beat making from using edison to sample on fl studio. When i purchased this mpc one plus its been a added powerhouse with stems. Im learning more about stems especially sampling in fl on edison. This makes the workflow much easier , and with crisp clarity . Ive stepped into the mpc world for a couple weeks now, and its been a good expereince. Ill continue to use fl studio, and mpc. Mpcs have greatly gained my respect cant get any better. Luved the video big dogg good helpful info definite subscription.

I like your content but the way you positioned it was as if we can use it on our MPC's right now when it's only for software I understand you briefly said that in the beginning but you continue to do it on your machine as if it was available the same way. I think just being straight and showing the whole process on the software since that's the only thing that was available would have been more genuine plus helping people get around the download issues that you know or mentioned that they were gonna have. It looks like a lot of us are unable to activate the software. It's been throwing a variety of errors for many users. I guess we just wait to see how long it takes Akai to address the issues. They got our money - they're good. SMFH.

MPC Stems is using an algorithm from ZPlane [[ I'm assuming 'Stems efficient' , which needs less CPU as opposed to their PRO version ]] which is probably why it sounds so clean compared to most others.

I played with it last night ,I will say the sound quality is nice BUT it depends on the sample you use, ONE MORE TIME ,depnds on the quality of the sample YOU use, If it is recorded poorly it going to sound so so if it is 48k its going to hit a different way YES Tested that last night for a few hours mono to stereo as well. SETUP is EASY 1st pay for it ,$10. (stop being cheap) 2nd this is VERY important you must be on version 2.14 , go into setting ,Activation, stems will be at the top, click the icon ,download it, done! After that you are on your own. works great if you use mp3

Def getting mine soon. Already thinking of some ideas with some drums and bass. It's going to be dope to be able to get that clean sample with no background. The creation factor is fully enhanced. This is also going to be nice for DJ type producers. So many classic albums to mix and mash up.

wait thats not quite correct, how do i get to settings in the software does it work the same on mpc beats and mpc 2. i though you go to edit prefrences and then plugins. how do i get to settings ... this is not the way i did it on all my other plugins, on them i had to scan folders

It’s because you aren’t creating a new plugin. You are just creating a new track

You have to create a new plugin on each track. Example: Track 1 , Plugin 1 Track 2, Plugin 2 Etc…

I also noticed that sometimes when you press the pads with the keys, it’s like there’s a clipping sound. I hope that gets fixed in a software update. I heard other people mention this as well. What do you know about that?💯🤟🏽

Hey Bolo, been checking out your vids and I think the decision I've come to is I think I want the mpc plus 1 combined with the mpk mini plus. I know it would probably make more sense for some just to get the mpc key 37, but this will be my introduction to the mpc world and just want the classic look of the mpc and also I use Daw programs and think the mini plus will have it's use for when I just want to work with Ableton and Fl studio. I guess my question would be does the mpc key 37 have any notable advantages over the mpc 1 plus other than the combination of the keyboard... like something you would be able to do on it that you couldn't with the mpc 1 plus?
