A flavoursome Bolognese sauce can be made using a few simple ingredients. Cooking low and slow for hours creates an intense flavour that is delicious over pasta, in lasagna or wherever else you use bolognese sauce. The benefit of making it in big triple or quadruple batches and freezing is that you get to the hard work once and enjoy the fruits of your labour many times over.
I quadrupled the recipe to make 7 x 2 cup portions of bolognese sauce. Which cost around $4.00 each.
