Bolsover Castle is in the town of Bolsover, in the north-east of the English county of Derbyshire. Built in the early 17th century, the present castle lies on the earthworks and ruins of the 12th-century medieval castle; the first structure of the present castle was built between 1612 and 1617 by Sir Charles Cavendish. The site is now in the care of the English Heritage charity, as both a Grade I listed building and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Hi Don we loved this it's so good to see your take on Bolsover. Its a fabulous place we fell in love with it when we visited last year. Its always windy up there 😆 isn't it. Your video is fantastic we are really enjoying your style of filming, and with such stirring music. The ladybirds had a good view out the window. It's got to be one of the best castles in this area. Hi Don! We love Bolsover Castle! Great video and music... what was the interior roof trusses/ loft space we don't recall seeing that? There are some lovely architectural features... have you been to Sutton Scarsdale the nearby shell of a house its very beautuful ... Best wishes 😊

Hi Neil & Ant, thanks for the kind words - the interior roof trusses was above the small library they have just as you come in the entrance - it overlooks where the brass bands play. I havent been to Sutton Scarsdale, will put it on my list of places to visit. Take care guys, Don 🙂

@@CoasterHypeTroy Thats it mate - i use the Osmo for the wider shots as it has a really wide lens on it and for any moving footage and the iphone for close up shots
