@@PinnedonPlacesIn the middle ninties there was a Bolsover hotel in the Bolsover street, where we lived and worked (and our daughter was born there🥰) But later the building of the hotel was demolished. For me it was interesting to get to know than the steet and the hotel got their names probably from the castle you are talking about. Thank You for Your work.⚘💥

Lola and I enjoyed this! Lavish, grand and massive! I like how his wife was supported by her husband with her passions and interests in science even if it resulted to being scorned by the traditional and conservatives. She reminds me of Prince Albert in a way that she's not stuck in what's perceived of her. Great Presentation. The restored room is awesome!

Hi Alessa and Brett. Thank you for having me. I am glad I made it premiere with sore body..hahaha I wanted to enjoy your story-telling and film, so watched it over and over again...hehe So much time and energy into every film. It made me desire to visit it one day when you mentioned you did not include a whole tour. Your work and passion have been recognized, We have abundance of footage, but chose only some to highlight into a film. I thank you always for educating me. I really feel walking through the palace with a private tour guide ..hehe such a gorgeous architecture and taste of wealth and power behind of it. We have an individual house called Biltmore Estate built and owned by George Vanderbilt in 1895. Not only outstanding architecture, indoor is filled with ornate furniture, paintings, and many more from overseas...I can imagine how this Playboy Palace would have been. I am speechless and my ears are to your voice... You made my day. ciao besties

We enjoyed the tour of Bolsover Castle and hearing about William and then Margert, Alessa and Brett. A grand place and would have loved to see it back then. Quite impressive today! It's also amazing how much things have changed with sexism since those times. Loved it!

Thank you so very much Dave and Kathy. The castle is so extravagant and special, it's one I'll remember for a long time. Completely agree, it was admirable that William stood by his lady but it's a shame that just for being a woman she was shunned on achieving excellence. Her tale and her status lives on through this castle. Thank you so much for commenting and watching! Hope you're both doing okay, and Mum!! xx

Another good one. especially liked those huge, old ornate doors and the overgrown area where you can imagine the rooms and floors that came before. Can imagine how impressive it would have been in it's prime. I'd sooner imagine myself as a servant rather than some wealthy prince invited to a banquet at a lavish Stuart age castle, but it's always a fun fantasy ; ).
@theresabigwideworld26327 ай бұрын
That's a really impressive castle! And the restoration of those rooms was really well done, the tapestries looked like tapestries on video, it was a clever way to reproduce them.

Hi Alessa & Brett, the castle was fabulous inside and out! There was a lot to see. Thanks for leaving us wanting to see more! 🤗 It's a shame Margaret was known as Mad Madge, particularly as she was clearly very intelligent and accomplished. What an amazing woman, and a great couple. Another thoroughly enjoyable and interesting video! You guys are awesome! (Gosh, didn't I sound so American there! 🤣)

Completely agree with you about Margaret, she was known for all the wrong things, but that was life back then. She still echoes and oozes icon and an inspiration to me, but it's just a good thing that the castle speaks about her life! Thank you hehe, you're too kind!! xx
