Love the terrain and small scale battle! Just two things. I did notice you did Snap To out of order twice at least. The officer has to pass the order test in order to be able to use Snap To, which would've foiled at least the first Snap To where your unit put the pin on the Volksgrenadiers that in turn forced them to go down. Also, the bazooka shot on the spotter would have missed since the spotter is always considered Down.

Chris, my advice don't change to vets, don't spend 5 points on assault rifles, remember camping Germans is a thing. But, in a scenario like this you will have to get to objectives so put small team, such as a flammer in a kubelwagon so it can move up late and kill unit on the objective. Justin loves vet inf and does not use tanks so it becomes very difficult to kill his vets, you pinned many out which is the way to go. To get more pins you need HE hits so get an auto cannon. Try and have 4 more dice than Justin. Use a 3 man LMG squad for 35pts at Regular. Oh and a sniper is nice to have.

Hey @rickfryer2934 👋. I am in two minds about how to play the Germans in this scenario, for sure. I feel I almost had him on the ropes for a moment in this game. Your suggestion of a flamer in a transport is a great one though. I think I will need to wait until the 1k game for that though perhaps because I don't have the mini for it yet haha.

@@BitzKrieg. You will have to buy some more stuff to be competed, I bought a load of stuff that I don't use as they are not competetive. Depends on what your aim is, is it to have thematic fun games or games where you really want to win. I loose loads of games to Justin and I really want to win so I go as competetive as possible. Or you could wait for version 3 which will make germany great, possibly!

@rickfryer2934 I must say… I do prefer the themed games, multiple multi rocket launchers are neither nice nor fun to play against, fortunately you don’t bring them to every game… the commando radio tower game was fun, even though I lost heavily to a non competitive German army! I just like to enjoy the game and have a bit of fun, too competitive gets too stressful for me, but I understand why people like those armies and occasionally is fun… but I wouldn’t want to play both of you with constant competitive German armies. Hopefully Chris will find a balance and enjoy the game 👍🏻 In the meantime, see you Friday!

@@theministryofminiatures Well I am bringing a Hummel this Friday, oh and a multi rocket launcher. I chose to build a German army because they have so many unique tanks and other vehicles. I love building and painting them and they look great on the table, sadly the way the game is written very few of any nations tanks are competetive. As you say Bolt Action is primarily an Infantry game, which means that if I bring a Panther against your infantry then I am unlikely to win. look what happened in that radio tower game when you did bring a Churchill against my camping german force. My army with two FT17's wrecked your infantry!

Yes you did indeed, I was worried for the first half, my tough vets held me in the game, but as the points increase and your knowledge and skill improve I think you will be a tough opponent! Well done, the video came out really well and I am also look forward to out next match…. As well as the plans for after the small escalation campaign, now that is exciting! 😉👍🏻

The trees were scratch built by George in our group, he has made a few over the years and they are very nice 👍🏻 The D-Day Airborne are mostly Warlord, they still do the metal models for the Airborne, I also picked up a couple of third party, but all the ones in this video are Warlord👍🏻
