Amazing build. I have this Churchill in my near future build list. One advice on thick antenna. Heat it with lighter, some 5mm above the mounting point and strech it. Then cut the excess on top. It will be much thinner and more realistic. I really love your stuff. Ive been watching all of your videos non stop for the past month when I build my models! Love your voice, expression, knowledge and jokes, even if I am not directly watching the video itself.

Thank you so very very much. I just could not decipher the whole slot cutting thing from the instructions. I got the tank in a British starter kit so had no real detailed view of the completed tank. I think it would have been helpful if they outlined what gun was what. I was sorely tempted to fit the spigot mortar gun. The Brit troops used to call the shell it fired the "Flying Dustbin". But I chickened out and will use either the 75 mm gun or the 6pdr. Who knew this vid would be so good so many years later. The kit does not seem to have changed by the way.

Must admit i have been wanting to pick up one of these for my Allied collection and this video just makes my need for one concrete, very good video review and build as always

Nice idea about moulding a second bin - I just got this kit to build so the walk through was really useful especially knowing the top track isn't necessary if you use the mudguards

nice kit! its going onto my never ending ''to build'' list XD have you ever looked into Solido diecast models? they scale reasonably well with 28mm as they're around 1/50 scale. they're really nicely made (very heavy due to diecast construction), often with real working individully linked metal tracks. I recently got a Solido Tiger and im very happy with it.

On the topic of Churchill tanks have you ever built the Airfix Churchill VII? it's the only model I can recall I stopped building out of frustration. First the wheel assembly is just silly and for some reason regardless on how much glue I use they find a way to come off. Great video I'm certainly going to have to pickup one of these kits to add to my growing collection of Churchills.

YetanotherScout lol i know how you feel but with a tiger 1( the instruction steet was Chinese) it took me over 4 hours just to do one track side(had to figure it out) lol)

I made that about 50 years ago when I was a child. The wheel assemblies were quite fiddly, but not impossible.

It's been sunny and getting warmer coming into summer. I replaced my windshield wipers the other day, so it's not going to rain for a while. I would prefer rain though.

How come you glue the gun in place? I thought the whole point of that design is you glue the top and bottom of the turret together and this then holds the gun in place but also allows it to be repositioned up or down.

Is the Churchill the model converted to a flamethrower? This kit would make a great place to start, just an idea.
@jerry2357

AFAIK, all the Churchill Crocodiles were based on the Mk VII version of the Churchill, which is different from this kit.

Hello. Is your knife a special modelling tool or is it just a random sharp object? If it is a modelling tool, how is it called?
@HerbertErpaderp
@HerbertErpaderp 8 жыл бұрын
It's just a knife. I guess they're called hobby knifes, though I don't know of any other names for them. X-acto is a popular brand. You can get them in hobby shops or office supply stores.
