I did same kit on 55-1 with LS, ended up buying the shorter upper control arms to get better caster and camber, added the sway bar made a huge difference in stability at higher speeds

No videos. I haven’t tackled the rear end yet other than replacing the axle seals. I’m running an 86 Firebird Trans Am 9 bolt (Australian) rear end.

I do! It runs great! Haven’t had any issues with the IFS.

No welding is necessary. I didn’t on my install, but after everything is bolted in you could weld it. But again, not necessary.

I do have my dads ‘49 so this would work. I also have a ‘59 Apache and I would like to find a bolt on kit for that which I don’t believe they have yet. SOMEBODY PLEASE MAKE ONE!

1972 Chevy truck front suspension unbolts from the frame, crossmember and all. It won’t bolt right in but it is all inclusive and has everything one would need but it would need to be welded in place when centered in the front wheel opening.

Just wandering why you went with a new rad. support? does the ifs kit affect the original support?

It doesn’t effect the original support. The original can be used but will need to be modified. I wanted a clean look and at $100, now was the time to switch it out. I think I explained it in the IFS install video Part 1. Thanks for watching.

No. I bolted them all on and used loctite. You can weld them as well. I chose not to.

Grade 5 bolts? Should be grade 8. Looks like a weak set-up prone to failure.
