Thanks Clinton. I am glad you love our videos. Bit quiet at the moment with a few other distractions. If you enjoy our videos we really appreciate the feedback so we can learn how to progress this KZbin thingy. So please give us a thumbs up when you like each video or leave a comment. Shoot straight mate as it sounds like you are in a great location.

Animal seemed to have little lumps on it's flanks. What are they ?

If you are talking about the Sambar stag, that is mud on his hide.

Do you still use the Berger VLD on sambar in the LR outfit ?? or have you gone to something else ??
@BoltActionProductions5 жыл бұрын
Josey Wales. I still have some loaded Berger 168gr VLD rounds but my main load is now using the 162gr ELDX
@sambarsambar5 жыл бұрын
@@BoltActionProductions Have you taken many sambar at LR with the ELDX ?? and are you happy with their performance ??

thanks for posting the Vids, great to watch. The VLD's are unreliable below about 2000 fps (unfortunately this has been my experience) and i got to say...Amax rules!! Winefly's suggestion about Nathan .......The man just doesnt know how to tell B******T and the work/info he shares has been invaluable!

Cheers mate. Always pays to look for ways of improving....

I like your clips, good footage ,but you guys seem to shoot alot of mature hinds which would all be in calve this time of the year .I am not criticising but curious on your thoughts.
@BoltActionProductions8 жыл бұрын
Spot on mate and unless they are controlled they will be classified as a pest very soon. IMO more hinds need to be shot to keep the numbers under control. Be assured we leave enough breeders and manage this area pretty well. It doesn't need to be all about bone as the meat is pretty good too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What brand is the rear monopod you are using? Does it attach to the rear sling stud? Cheers
@BoltActionProductions8 жыл бұрын
Accu-shot and yes it does attach to the rear sling stud. Just be aware there are many different models and adjustment heights so choose wisely.

another great video good work what were u using 308 or 7mm with sst or vld cheers Frank
@BoltActionProductions8 жыл бұрын
7mm Rem Mag I use the 168gr VLDs and 162gr SSTs with the VLD's being fractionally more accurate over the distance.
@BoltActionProductions8 жыл бұрын
I have used the 150gr SST's in the 308 for years with great success with neck/shoulder shots
@clintonwalsh22646 жыл бұрын
Berger VLD's are a great projectile.
@BoltActionProductions6 жыл бұрын
They definitely shoot tight groups. Whether they are the best hunting projectile I am not so sure. I have over 600 168gr 7mm VLD's going at a good price if you want some.
@lukemcintosh51085 жыл бұрын
@@BoltActionProductions Steve, do you still have some 168gr VLD's, just after one box to do some load testing?

Good work! Great shooting! Where did you find a picatinny rail for that A7? Some mates of mine just bought A7 Roughtech Pro's and we have had a heck of a time trying to find weaver style or pic steel bases for it, with the curved receiver that is has.
