Been without power since before 7 pm. Setting up my generator the neighbors 60 or 70 foot tall trees were dropping branches on my head. Really un nerving. Finally got it going with flashlights as my only light. Went back out a few minutes later and a 12 foot branch had fallen withing a foot or so where I had been standing. Shined my flashlight on the 8 or so trees towering over my head and they were whipping hard in the wind. Thank God I was not hit by any of them.

@vallee7966Ай бұрын
@@randywl8925 “bomb” refers to the barometric pressure dropping 24 bars within 24 hours. It becomes cyclone, typhoon or hurricane level when barometric pressure drops below 950. Last reading i saw was at 946. Labeled a bomb cyclone by meteorologists in the early ‘90s.
@randywl8925Ай бұрын
@vallee7966 You do bars, I'll do 29.34 inches. Nobody used the term until the last few years..... nor "atmospheric river" The intensity of colors on weather maps (temperature and precipitation) during the past few years has needlessly gone off the charts. They don't do daily precipitation amounts, they do storm totals or weekly rain amounts to impress the audience with a large number. They still can't predict weather correctly two days in a row, yet do 5 and 10 tay forecasts. .....then comes the climate change BS I'm guessing that people these days need more drama or they won't watch.
