Pac was a leader not a follower. What probably happen was Pac was vibing to Goodie Mob music called them and said let's do a song together and Goodie Mob took it as Pac wanted to be in their group.

I think what he was saying was they met or knew of Pac in Atlanta during the earler mc breed and Andre rison time frame, then Pac went to prison and they ran into his publicist in Atlanta and she informed them Pac was interested in joining them then Pac got bailed out by suge...then while they were in La Pac invited them to the studio and played hittem up... I think this is the time accurate time frame of Pac and goodie mob relationship...

The publicist incident happened while Pac was locked up. The studio session happened in LA after he was released around the time when Left Eye was out in LA. (They went more in-depth in another interview about this story). Maybe you should listen to Goodie Mobb's 1st album. Extremely pro black, he would have fit perfectly in that group. Or should I say, worked well with Goodie Mobb.

I’m not even a Tupac fan per se, but one thing anyone who is a fan should know is that Tupac loved Hip Hop, the Culture, not just the music business. Case in point, Diamond D from D.I.T.C. was in the car with him in Atlanta the night he shot those two guys who turned out to be off-duty cops out on dates with their wives. He always appeared to embrace the culture with a tremendous amount of admiration and respect. Whether members of GM are “stretching” the truth or suffering from a lack of memory loss regarding certain details, it’s not hard to fathom that Tupac wanted to “hook-up” with other artists that he liked/admired.

@ we all know Pac traveled a lot bcuz of his Acting and Rapping career and stayed in touch with the streetz, he had the rap game on lock from every aspect before ppl even thought about it? From Interviews,to performing and touring to how to put an album together. He was the blueprint that everybody follows in the Rap game and only liked authentic Artist that he had respect for… but Artist from the South weren’t popular at that time or selling massive amounts of albums on any Major? Besides Master P! They weren’t marketed so u probably had to witness it by being around them or had a gig to perform in South and they were part of the line up…

They could have been just going off what the female told them as far as 2Pac wanting to be with them. And timelines can get fucked up because that was 28 years ago. And ain’t no telling how they remember it or whether they were getting drunk and/or high a lot at the time. Some of us down south drink too much and be remembering shit all wrong. They weren’t lying on 2Pac or say anything negative, so I don’t see no problem with this. It seems like they were just about showing how much respect they had for each other. Ain’t no harm if they get all the details right because it’s only a minor story about 2Pac and Goodie Mob crossing paths. Goodie Mob are some good dudes and have always stood up for 2Pac in interviews.
