aoe2 logic be like: I put the same cannon on a flat ground. Of course it will shoot farther than from an elevated position e.g. tower.

Even then, they still do quite the overkill, even Paladin with 180HP end up with 63 after the first hit, which means nearly half the damage goes to waste. I think that they make more sense against elephants (large HP and they move slowly, so more likely to get hit)

yeah, Redemption is a technology that can be researched at the Monastery. Once researched, it allows Monks and Missionaries to convert enemy siege weapons and most buildings.

@@liszarezo3658 There's an easter egg in DE where Incas, Mayans, and Aztecs can train a special cavalry unit if they convert a stable. I've only seen it in pro games once though. It has identical stats to a knight, but can't be upgraded except with attack upgrades (since those civs don't get cav armor upgrades).

@@sgtpepper8581 You get them in rather late Imperial. That gold and stone are highly valuable. You can get one normal tower, one knight and a champion for one bombard tower

Bombard towers are meant to be used against ships. They kill every generic ship in a single shot.
