I work in a childrens home with children struggling with learning disabilities and mental health. I have a certain young person who can be very volatile. Bath time and personal care can be a nightmare. I've found that putting music on a waterproof speaker at bath time really gives the young person time to sit and process their day. I usually put my own playlists that i've made for parties or camping trips. This song popped up on my playlist the other day and the young persons behaviour completely changed. For the first time since i have worked with them they asked to be alone in the bathroom and kept asking for this song to be repeated. After about seven times of it being repeated i had to check on them and the young person was crying in the bath saying "why does the music make me cry?". I couldn't believe what i was seeing. All i could do was reassure them and tell them that truly great music can do that to you sometimes and everything was absolutely fine. We carried on to have a great night just sitting and talking. This song remains this young persons favourite song and so it bloody should. This song reminds of some of the best times in my life and always makes me think of my best friends who i travel with a lot. Thanks Bombay for this thought provoking absolute banger :)
