with idli this consistency is fine but for poori and dosa it has to be more thicker.. its a very famous and common dish in every Maharashtra household called "pithal" tastes best with bhakari or rice .. can add red chilli power and garlic tadaka on top of pithal ..

In Andhra Pradesh n Telangana we call it as Bombay chutney...it's not compulsory that if we call it bombay chutney that doesn't mean it is originated in Bombay...it came from our ancestors..n she is not mis leading anyone or false recipes. She is giving new recipes from every corner of India... different states different names different recipes..

This is pithla. Remove tomatoes n add garlic. And this is not a Mumbai dish. It's a Maharashtrian dish, enjoyed with jowar bhakhri, sliced onions n fried chillies. Made every alternate evening as dinner in almost every household in rural Maharashtra, especially in winters. But nice try for a spin.
