Bombers! Or How To Deliver A Massive Payload With A Small Ship

It was MurlocJoe in the bomber on LSG. It was a compact large grid though, dropping 2 large grid warheads per run. And importantly that iteration only had interior turrets. I find the biggest struggle with small grid munitions is getting through active turret fire. If you are in a bigger battle with other ships engaging the target then it is easy enough. But if you have nothing else to tank for your bombs you need a lot of them to break through the flak.

The us just declassified a new munition that fakes out enemy Sam systems. Probably could send in a decoy drone that could draw fire before the main armament hits.

So all those camera's on the one bomber is for use with Whip's Missile Script.

From my experience those "cool" looking missiles with all the armor in the front tend to suck in doing damage to large grids or even detonating properly. Furthermore, a lot of the bombers I found on the workshop are just decoration pieces with payloads that haven't been thoroughly tested especially on moving targets, this might be why people thought most small grids are impractical against large grids until I proved otherwise. Also the cameras are for the WHAM scripted missiles and along with LAMP are the best guidance system for bombers currently. Unlike the keen AI missiles WHAM have better target prediction and a way higher hit success plus they're easier to setup once you get the hang of it. Currently I've upgraded 2 of my bombers and one new one with WHAM and they're a lot of fun to use and way more devastating with the likelihood of splitting ships apart! I'll release one of them tomorrow and you can test it out.

Yes out running the ai builds is a problem. I've beentrying to find a way around that limitation.
