Gerald Mcraney also did these. Never forget when he had the WWI vet named "WINSTON ZEDIMORE". Some of the WWI vets were still around, and getting the firsthand account was awesome. He was feeble looking as hell, had tremors, was on oxygen, and I think died shortly after the filming. But to have those black and white reels from WWI 75 years earlier (less then WW2 now), with him narrating and being interviewed about it was awesome. This was really great stuff. I would actually buy if it were avaiable?

Those poor lads in those Allied bombers, there were so many British, American, Australian, Kiwi, Canadian and Polish crews that didn't come back....... R.I.P fellas, you were unbelievably brave.

It's fascinating how the B-24 gets so disrespected. By 43, the B-24 was the USs standard heavy Bomber. They had phased out the B-17 as it lacked the range and payload. While it could be argued that the B-17 was probably a hardier bomber battle damage wise, the B-24 simply went further and did more damage than the B-17 did.

You are wrong. The 17 could take damage while it was more used by the 8th. The 24 did good in the pacific and as a sub hunter
